1. So Ive seen a few posts about them and I was so curious I thought id get one plus I would never be able to afford a genuine one unless a lottery win landed in my lap I didn't see the point in it being a straight ripoff by having a badly made Fodera logo so I have made my own which Ive not been charged extra for. Its probably gonna play like a pig but I like a good project so I don't mind too much, heres a pic of what it should hopefully look like. Im guessing it won't be 15-20 days until I physically see it but the guy send he would send me some pics when its made so I will update with progress for those interested ************************************************************************************ UPDATE Finished pics in thread
2. Whatever floats your boat
3.
Just received mine. Though I am awful with Compressors so I don't know how good my opinion will be! Seems solid enough. Manual looks a bit useless. Wouldn't mind changing the chicken knobs to make it look a little different to other Joyo/Chinese pedals)
Yea I suck with compressors too lol I have a gig Saturday so I will give you my verdict then, but seems solid
4.
Cheers mrn1989
No Probs
How many watts? Thanx jay
Ive gigged mine quite a few times and they're awesome handle lows nicely and super portable. Cant recommend highly enough
5. Ok thanks postman has just delivered mind do il tinker with it later Cheers everyone
6.
How many watts? Thanx jay
400
7.
Hey man, sorry for the delay. At £49, it's by far the best comp out there for the money. Tbh, for £100 it possibly would be! I've had more since January and it's incredible. Exactly what I was looking for; a great optical comp which can add subtle compression, add a bit of girth, and really make the higher strings cut through strongly in the mix, with no perceptible losses and quiet operation. The controls do interact with each other a lot, particularly the gain control, which will affect the response of the other controls considerably. You will need to spend a little time tweaking to start with, but once you hit your sweet spot, you'll love it!
Hey no probs thanks for the reply. Just out of interest whats your typical setup and how are you setting it
8.
iv had one a year or so now probably the best compressor i've had for bass, i run it through the master FX loop on my genz shuttlemax and it improves my sound and helps fatten out those higher notes!
Sweet just what I wanted to hear At £49 it's worth a punt at least
9. Hey @TRBboy how did you get on with it, I've just ordered one myself I got it a £49 which looks like a steal
10. If your not after a loud gigging amp then Id definitely say try a VR out they do sound good. The only other issue I found was the drive channel was substantially quieter than the clean channel, its not uncommon but I found it further apart here than with any other amp.
11. Ive had both amps in question and for me the 30VR wasn't loud enough for my rock/blues band, if your happy mic'ing then id say got for it because it does sound great. I personally like the drive channel on the Deluxe, the VR will give you more modern gain tones. Hope this helps
12. Second thoughts quite like them
13. Beauty! Not sure about those curtains though
14. Shame I'm not near you, could of fixed that back to full asking in 2 mins
15. Yes DO NOT RUN A 4OHM AND AN 8OHM TOGETHER
16. An LM3 with a 102P @ 4Ohm would be loud enough to cover most pub/club gigs. If down the line you want to run multiple cabs you would have to leave the 4Ohm 102P at home, you would instead need 2 8Ohm cabs. I was in the same boat as you a few months back, I went with a single 8Ohm 102P and have just purchased a 2nd if I need the extra push.
17. I sold a Squier fretless jazz bass to Derek. Great transaction no issues
18. Ok No probs, he's gonna get back to me tomorrow and il let you know asap
19. I have a friend who owns a music shop, I'm getting a price for my bit, if you want I can ask him to give me a price if you get me the model no. I can't promise anything but he usually gives me trade prices
20. @Rumple. I called Rosetti and they will not sell direct and the prices on their site are the RRP, I was told to go to a Seymour dealer and get them to order it for me
21. What is the difference other than £40? http://www.thomann.d...an_sstc3psb.htm or http://www.thomann.d...uncan_stc3p.htm Its going into an EBMM Stingray with a stock passive pickup
22.
Me neither, I'm after a SD Antiquity 2 pickup for my Precision and it's more than double the price of buying one from the US on Ebay, even after paying VAT and import duty it would be a darn sight cheaper from America, it doesn't make sense!
Yea I don't get it either
23.
Distributor costs.
Surely Rosetti are the distributers so they send to GAK? Am I wrong?
24. @Rumple I saw that but can't figure out why they're charging £30 more than GAK?
