Sorry to hear that. The reason I’m swayed towards the EBS is that it’s a chorus & flanger combined!

I’m looking into buying an EBS Unichorus. Does anyone know if there’s much difference between the newer studio edition & the original blue one? I’ve heard reports that the earlier ones develop glitches/problems is this true? I would appreciate anybody’s first hand experiences about these pedals.

Yeah that’s exactly why I thought it was Anthony. Should have read the credits on the lp sleeve. Hell I’ve owned it since it came out. I’ll check out the Randy Crawford track. Loved those early albums by her especially Secret Combination. Most admit my search for that sound from a pedal has been narrowed down to the EBS Unichorus. Not sure if I should go for the newer studio edition. Willie Weeks...well what can we say about him another monster player. Every bass player should be made to listen to Anthony’s playing & sound on Chaka’s Clouds.

Wow yeah your correct! I always presumed it was Anthony Jackson. However I’ve been a big fan of Will Lee for sometime. Ever since those early Brecker brothers albums. Thanks @lee650 for your reply & knowledge.

I’m a big fan of the great Anthony Jackson as many of us are. I particularly like his sound on I’m every woman Chaka Khan. There seems to be conflicting views about which effects he was using as in Flanger or Phase or Chorus. Maybe he was using a bit of all of them. If anyone could shed some light on this I would be extremely grateful.

Just received a pre eb Stingray plus goodies from Marc. Great communication through out this transaction. Packaged really well. Another credit to the Basschat community. Highly recommended.

The 76 looks great Andy. There is definitely something about tort & sunburst on a vintage P bass. It’s a shame they changed to black in 75 but hey if Andy wants tort he should have tort! I know what you mean about the smell from vintage Fenders. Last week i reopened the case of my 71 P bass that I bought from Michael @wateroftyne & the musty smell was something else. Real history & intrigue.

There’s some choice basses on this thread! Hell let me think...err it was a long time ago. I was lent a Vox & then a Burns but don’t ask me the model name. The first bass I actually owned was a early 70s Fender Mustang. It was beautiful. I wish I still had that bass! However etc etc. 🙄

Been playing the jazz tonight at home (well it wouldn’t be a gig would it) through my Aguilar DB750 & a Bergantino HD2x10. Really getting on with it. It’s certainly gonna get used & well cared for Andy. Enjoy the Sadowsky mate. You certainly made it sound special today! x
