Dave there is nothing cheap looking about this bass i can assure of that or i would not have purchased it in the first place , great attention to detail on this bass for sure , the edges of the fret board have been rounded of with the binding, the binding goes 1/2 an inch past the nut, there was a great attention made to the neck on this bass i feel, the finish on the body is second to none with a slight sparkle going through the metallic paint. ceramic noisless jazz pickup and vintage precision pickups, Eq is very nice too massive amount of tone on this bass it really can do any sound that you want on a bass, i am just to used to Rickenbackers after over 30 years of playing nothing but rics. if you dont buy mine get one before they disappear only 150 for europe. cheers George -
I hear all this talk that fender basses made in mexico are crap!! utter nonsense, i have one of the fender special precisions made in mexico, and i have owned american made models , this mexican bass is as good as if not better than some american basses i have played , i wonder who started all this nonsense that mexican fender are built less than usa models they are not!!! they all use the same components made in the same factory, just assembled in different locations. its like saying the mexican workers cant put four screws into a piece of wood utter nonsense its time to get real, the mexican instruments are like the usa and jap models there is good and bad. i think a lot of people are brainwashed about mexican basses. time to wise up.

certainly is a fantastic bass, just wish i could take to other basses. the one i have has a fantastic growling E string if you turn the treble of and roll the pickup selector to jazz pickup you get a really interesting almost fretless tone amazing bass it can do any tone, typical precision sound, throaty jazz, and anything in between if you adjust the tone knobs. -

Courier reccomendations for guitar shipping
geofio replied to bobbass4k's topic in General Discussion
I have to recommend parcelforce as used them a few times, as long as the instrument is well packed, there should not be any issues. -
Fender precision special, sea foam green metallic finish, alder body, maple jazz neck with block inlays and binding, dual coil Ceramic noiseless jazz pickup, vintage precision alnico split coil precision pickup, Fender high mass bridge, active 3 band eq, this bass is stunning, and has a wide range of tone, and the jazz neck is just awesome to play. i am just so used to my Rickenbackers after 30 odd years of playing them it is hard to get used to another bass!!! the Fender is 100% mint and has rotosound swing 66 roundwounds installed at the moment. anyone who enjoys fender basses would love this bass playing wise and tonality are second to none. complete with fender deluxe gig bag and original box. £600 including delivery, could not upload pics to BC so have included a link to pics of the bass here http://www.flickr.co...s/55261989@N00/ my feedback http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1889700 07435622607

I worked as security with many bands from late 70's until recently, had the unfortunate pleasure of working with adam ant or stuart goddard, it must have been around 81/82 he did a show at the Glasgow Apollo what a con man, he played videos on a big screen the first half of the concert???? then he came on stage with his live??? band, he had session guitarists hidden behind the pa bins on both sides of the stage, the guitarist was supposed to be marco pirroni , his guitar was not even plugged in!!!! biggest con man out and last nights drivel proved it . phew had to get that off my chest lol.

no bass model does it all, thank god.

are there any super bands with poor bass players?
geofio replied to iconic's topic in General Discussion
Lets be honest here most of the bass players mentioned here are very rich guys and probably dont give a hoot what anyone think's about their bass playing, and really who is anyone to judge another bass player's talent, as long as they fit in with and play what the band require for their particular style of music., yes there are outstanding bass players in the world and thats great , i dont see the point in slagging another player off, and how do you measure a great bass player?? financial status? sponsorship? oustanding technical ability? heck i say just play the bass and enjoy for what ever reason. have a good 2013 guys. i have the bass now , and it really has a great bottom end coming from it , well made, also heavier than i thought it would be , put some decent strings on and did a set up, it sounds great lots of tone in there, i think it is the geddy lee neck they have used, finish is fantastic nice fleck through the paint, fit and finish 10/10 only thing that annoyed me was the bloody plastic they use to protect the pick guard it is a pain to get off!!! neck just feels fantastic lots of tone looks good , whats not to like?? cheers for the comments guys. George

thanks very much, very useful information there, think i will go for it always wanted a precision but the necks were to chunky for me , thats the main reason i am going for it. cheers guys
