1. Get the drummer a pair of hotrods (cross between sticks and brushes) or kick him in the neck until he learns to play quieter. Both will work.
2. I bought a Carvin BX500 head from Dean and it arrived very quickly and was packed to survive a zombie apocalypse. I've had a good play with it now and I'm very happy. I'm already looking forward to gigging it at the weekend. Excellent comms and the head looks brand new. Dean is a solid hombre fo' shizzle.
3. Holoflake paint is the Mosquitos mojitos. I do wish they wouldn't put that LED under the strings though (low battery indicator). That's like one of the horrible things the 16 year old me used to do to my guitars.
4.
Pingu says otherwise!
Purple paint and a Birdseye maple neck? Are you freaking kidding me?? Stunning.
5. Jerry Auerswald is another one to check out if you like this sort of thing. He's a true innovator - he built the original Prince 'Symbol' guitar. http://www.auerswald-instruments.com
6. Sandberg are the schnitzel! (See what I did there?). A few other manufacturers should be taking note of their build ethos and pricing in my opinion. An Ida Neilsen signature model is on my Xmas list
7. If it was me I'd be onto this like a dog eating chips: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Musicman_SR4_H_silver.html Also, have you looked at Sandberg? Hand-built German goodness and right in your price range.
8. Nice one! Thanks for that
9. That does look nice. Inca Silver is a cool colour. I also like the Pewter finish they used for a while in the 80's (now only used on the Clapton strat).
10. Yeah, they need to be thinking outside the box a little more...
11. I've been a long-time fan of Basslab but have never played one.
12. I tried buying from their online shop but got scared as all the important bits are in Japanese. EDIT OK, so I found the 'English' button on the website *hangs head in shame*
13. I kept the protective plastic on the black plate that came with this bass but clear is definitely the way to go, even if you have to put it on in clean-room conditions. Maybe that's just my OCD kicking in
14. I'm on my 2nd USA Stingray (the so-called 133 series that come with a gig bag) and they are quite simply the BEST basses I have ever played. Over the years I've owned them all and I'd take one of these over anything else (for the price) any day. Taking the playability and sound out of the equation for a minute, the finish on these things is just stunning. Add a MM hard case and you've got yourself a genuine USA Stringray with all the usual bells and whistles. I put a clear pickguard on my blue pearl one and I'm going to add the East 3-band eq later:
15.
Strings Direct perhaps?
+1 on this
16. PM Sent.

Hey

Hey guys, nice to be here. I'm a Markbass/Stingray fan. I've been hanging around for a while so I thought I'd say hello. Rungles.
