    Join the club mate! Last weekend I played at The King Lud and The Solent in Ryde and I think our next one is The Old Comical in Sandown. Mostly funky-rock stuff and we're a three-piece. Scott.

    I had the exact same problem in my three-piece funk band. I found that boosting the mids a little and adding an Electro-Harmonix Bass Soul Food really helped me out. Also a touch of sub-octave too. The mix sounds fantastic now and there are no gaps but at the same time we aren't treading on each others toes.

    Hi all, I've just got a Mu-Tron III re-issue to play with (my brother bought it new and has never used it - must be at least 15 years old). I tried it out at soundcheck the other night with 2 brand new Duracell Industrial batteries and there is an audible 'thump/thud' sound after every note. Sounds like slapping a muted string. I can hear the effect in the background but it's overpowered by the unwanted noise. Has anyone else had similar experience? If it's power-related then I'll happily buy an 18v PSU for it but don't want to spend the money if it's going to be a waste. I'd appreciate any help on this one All the bass, Scott.

    [b]Trade for a 4 String Jazz - Fender, Sandberg, Limelight - what have you got??[/b] One last price drop before eBay - £525 shipped. Up for sale or trade is my 1999 Warwick Streamer Pro M. I bought this a couple of months back from Bass Direct but since I got my Everson, it's not really seen the light of day. Flamed maple body, ovangkol neck with wenge board. Gold hardware, 2 Active MEC 'J' pickups in a single case, 2 band EQ with volume and blend. Frets are virtually unmarked and the truss rod is fully operational. There are some light marks on the body but nothing too gross (as my daughter would say). Since getting this I've swapped out that rogue strap button on the bottom for another gold Dunlop recessed affair. The bass comes with the straplocks and a Warwick Rockbag (front pocket zip has gone but there's life in it still). These pics are the ones from Bass Direct as they are better than anything I could take. If anyone wants close-up pics of anything though, just ask. I paid £690 plus delivery for this. I'm asking [b]£525[/b] including UK shipping. Check my feedback and you'll see I've successfully bought, sold and swapped on here. I'm on the Isle of Wight.     Yes! Already looking forward to this. Taking my Everson with me to see if I can get a pic with Paul. Makes no difference to me who is performing - it's a cracking day out regardless, assuming I can get the ankle tag off for a few hours.

    I bought an Ashdown Sub Octave Plus pedal from Carl. It arrived very quickly and was exactly as described. Carl is a great guy to deal with and I'm already looking forward to future dealings. Scott.

    I bought an Everson Caiman T-4 from Wayne - what a fantastic guy to deal with. Not only did he wait for a week for payment while I waited for a cheque to clear but the bass arrived less than 24 hours after he posted it. I should add that it was packed to survive an airstrike! Amazing bass, fantastic guy. Very, very happy.
