1. Done deal then - headless it is! Thanks guys
2. Matt and I traded basses yesterday. He's a fantastic guy to deal with and the bass he traded was better than described. To say I'm happy would be a massive understatement. Deal with Matt with confidence, as I hope I will again.
3.
Lovely stuff, great choice of bass, and as BassBus said, a fine tribute to your Gran. Headed or headless?
I've been back and forth on this one but have decided on headless. I think.
4. It never had a case - came with a gig bag for cost-cutting purposes by EBMM but is a genuine USA Stingray. It cost me £1099 from Nevada Music in Portsmouth.
5. The Streamer Pro M is an awesome bass. The pickups give you a lot more versatility than you would imagine given their close proximity and that curved body is extrememly comfortable. I regret selling mine. A lot. For the record, I've had 3 Corvettes, a Thumb BO and and 1987 Thumb NT, plus the Streamer Pro M. The Pro M beat them all.
6. So I've decided to take the plunge and get myself a brand new Status. My Gran left me a little bit of money when she died last year and this (for me) will be the perfect way to spend it. S2 Classic 4 string with wrap-around LEDs. So this will be 'Sarah' - oh and as an added bonus, Mark King just picked the LED color for me as I couldn't choose
7. Other trades considered - what have you got?
8. Looking to trade my Pearl Blue Stingray for Warwick Thumb BO or Streamer Jazzman/Pro M. What have you got? Also interested in Jap fender Marcus Miller 4 strings, Mayones - anything interesting! It's virtually mint apart from one indentation on the lower edge of the body (see pic). It has a clear pickguard fitted but I am also including the original black one with the plastic still on. It has Schaller strap locks fitted and comes with a mint Musicman padded gig bag.
9.
Hey Scott - how are you doing mate! No, unfortunately we're not there this year either. We ended up setting up our own little cider/badger based festival (www.outciderfestival.co.uk) which runs on the same weekend as Camp Bestival so we're busy playing/running that. Hope the weather picks up for the weekend - not looking very good at the moment... Dave
Ah nice one Dave! I hope that goes well I'm checking the forecast every day and it doesn't look to bad at the moment... fingers-crossed! Scott.
10. Anyone playing at Camp Bestival this year? Or Bestival on the IOW?
11.
I'm playing at Camp Bestival on the Friday. We're in the kids field, so I'm not sure how songs about cider and incest are going to go down.
Hey mate - I'm Scott the Bandstand Compere. We love The Skimitty Hitchers and their cider/badger-based antics! We missed you last year. Are you coming again this year?
12. Bump for a superb and often overlooked amp. I've no idea why because they are just stunning - and made in the USA too.
13. Plenty loud enough for pubs and small clubs. You'll love it!
I recently for a 210 and have been enjoying it very much so far. Taking it to a first band practice next week. is one cab loud enough for a gig? I'm using the TC Electronic BH550 as the amp. Cheers.
14. I bought a Markbass Little Mark III head from Dunc and it practically arrived before he'd even sent it! Fantastic guy to deal with, great packaging, outstanding comms and just superb all-round. Deal with confidence. Cheers Dunc! 👍😎 Scott.
15. Is anyone else using these yet? I can't be the only one! I gigged with mine at the weekend and love them even more now.
16.
Had various buyings and sellings of all types of bass related items with Scott in the past, and if we are honest, there will be more to come! Top musician, top bloke. Deal with confidence.
Heh heh! Thanks dude
17. Someone buy this - they are friggin' awesome! I love mine. Good luck with the sale 👍
18. Email from Thomann... Dear Customer, thank you for your request. We expect the next delivery in the middle of July 2015. David Wittig Gitarrenabteilung guitar department
19. Does anyone know if Schaller tuners are a direct replacement for the stock ones? Do the screw holes line-up? Scott.
20. Thanks guys, have emailed tech support at MXR.
21. Had a gig this afternoon and my beloved MXR Envelope Filter gave up on me. It still lights up but there's now a audible thump when pressing the switch and no effect - just the sound of the bass. It was running on a Roland PSU off the back of my TU-2 so I tried it with a battery and it does the same. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd be very grateful as I'm lost without it 😔 Scott.
22. How about the Carvin BX range? I love mine and my last head was a LM2.
23. Eurgh! A Peavey TKO. Not only horrible sounding but back-breakingly heavy. I had a wry smile on my face when I sold it and the poor (little) guy came to pick it up
