  1. What about car seat foam ? Or from sofa cushions That’s very dense - maybe boxing your amp in on most sides with that stuff would help?
  2. You can just use polystyrene slabs or that thick foam (think it’s called sorbothane in the US) to sit your amp/speakers on
  3. They may have a baby who naps ...
  4. I demand that the finest popcorn in the world be served right now ... 🍿
  5. I had a musima p bass which sounded really good in stock condition - I gave no qualms about ply
  6. Mine was silent with stock pickups and careful copper shielding
  7. @LukeFRC The back wooden one probably makes the grain stand out more or less (boost your wood, as it were), the front one makes the Pearl blocks stand out more and, when on full, eclipse the Sun
  8. Nice ! My daughter would love it ... then drop It in favour of something else
  9. They basically make you do click and collect within uk and use eBay GSP if international to be fair with their Global shipping program they’ve not lost or damaged anything yet and I send a fair bit of stuff. It’s been slow but always arrived with reasonable tracking. They got a huge Lego kit c.10kg to western Australia in just 14 elapsed days, over Xmas, in the middle of a pandemic - that’s a good test I feel if anything happens to it, it’s covered by eBay (shrug) what’s not to like ?
  10. It’s just off the a38 near Burton there is another in south normanton actually run by Pitney bowes
  11. Made someone laugh -awesome. Not bad for someone who’s been up since stupid o’clock doing the partner birthday thing alongside two small kids I didn’t bother ticking the boxes - y’all know my answer
  12. So, you’re in the desert, it’s 2000 bc and you find some stones on a mountain and there’s some writing on them. Once you’ve become literate (three or so years well spent I think) you find that ... apart from some boring crap about not coveting your neighbour’s donkey, and not killing people (cos that’s like really bad okay?) one of them says “thou shalt have no other instrument than the blessed bass guitar”. Now obviously that doesn’t come into effect until God created Leo fender (through guiding the efforts of his parents naturally) and Leo himself gets around to inventing the precision bass, but it’s a fckuing commandment, okay? From GOD. How much more clear do things have to be made exactly ? Don’t fukc around with the triangle. before I get totally flamed, I’m satirising the Charlton Heston Moses movie, NOT anyone’s actual faith
  13. I’d oil it and leave it as it is. OR get some nitro paint, mask off the edges plus say three inches in on all sides and spray paint onto the body like an anti-relic Relic fans normally take paint off, you’d be putting it right back on ... keep going and it’ll get closer and closer to showroom condition seriously you’ll never get this look again so I’d fettle it and fit everything and spend some time thinking exactly kind of paint it really needed
  14. @Col the Plunker pretty sure that “urinated on by a dog” counts as mojo along with knocks and dings, fag burns and beer stains
  15. Even the Indonesian and Chinese ones are really good for the money and I really like the vintage modified series, it was an Indonesian made VM P that turned me to precisions
  16. Can’t see Arnie in the picture at all...
  17. I’ve never had a bad squier, very underrated
  18. I was of the “I’ll totally freak in front of an audience” persuasion but once I ignored that and started playing I actually quite enjoyed it. (Could hardly see through the lights anyway) My buddy was happy to have someone else playing to support his weedy acoustic guitar and I was thinking “all those people are clapping and dancing, and I’m making that happen”. And a cute redhead told me I sounded “ducking awesome”. We played Folsom prison blues and jailhouse rock P bass plus zoom pedal on ampeg svt simulator == instant confidence
  19. I’m assuming that you’re unfamiliar with the terms “to relic” (verb) and “mojo” (noun) don’t worry - you’ll learn these real quick
  20. https://reverb.com/uk/item/5400074-fujigen-history-p-bass-cherry-red-precision Like this one?
  21. Two of those are clearly defective - wrong number of strings fitted
  22. Ugh - you’re right - I’m going to poke my own eyes out right now filth
  23. So .... many .... knobs ... how do you cope ? it’s basses with so many control that made Leo fender invent the precision bass. (this may not be totally true)
