Welcome - you night want to learn a bit of set-up as you can often get action much lower. I bought a jazz bass once that needed six turns before it became usable - a bus would have fitted under.

I fixed a ski ramp on the neck of my p bass with help from others here i also roll my own neck edges and do fret work

Just fitted the cheapo Olympia set 40-100. They seem quite high tension shocked at how the acoustic sound of the bass has changed. Not amplified it yet
