    Turmeric takes a month or so to start showing benefit - it’s not instant keeping your fingers warm such as with fingerless gloves helps

    @Obrienp get the stuff with black pepper extract as that boosts absorption … Amazon or eBay or Holland and Barrett

    I’ve never understood why someone selling or owning a 700£ bass from new wouldn’t think of putting a smear of Vaseline on those threads; I recall ages ago someone from limelight saying here at BC that screws seizing was an effect of the relic process. Why not unscrew the intonation screws or grub screws a bit when it’s freshly done and put some Vaseline on ? That’s a whole five minutes spent

    That plate is def after market based on the pattern and it’s fit to the bass (very poor fit around lower horn) and I think the burst looks a bit odd the action looks very high - my guess would be that it’s a decent bitsa - not even a whole Mex

    It’s got that weird middle top rubout on the sunburst where your hands etc never touch - how does that wear occur?

    My 0.02 is that women are generally less strong but I’d never call them weaker tal wilkemfield is only normal sized but manages a whole gig on a full sized bass and good luck to her. AC is possibly not intending his comment to be taken generally but perhaps specifically with regard to his context of an all-male band?

    I stand corrected - I meant 0.5mm ish at #8, resulting in 2-3mm at fret 12 when string released

    Usual drill - capo on fret 1, hold down at last fret, release quarter turns till you get about 2.0mm -> 3.0mm at fret 8

    Lower tension causing truss rod to pull too hard - release it a bit
