  1. I’m so utterly sick of all this competency crap... where are the mess-ups and the “so wish I hadn’t Started this” rants. Can’t you people do something really stupid or badly once in a while ? 🙄
  2. I’m gas free, I have everything I need but no time. I have a bass doc precision, 3tsb maple, relic a stack knob, Olympic white with tort in nitro, relicing itself a stingray copy by vintage a zoom b2.1u an ampeg combo I’m not sure what else I could want Edit:cables possibly, and electricity
  3. I meant that I’d expect the current American models to be “very good indeed” anyway as they are £££, And that by “current models” did you mean mex as it’s fairly common ground that they are really very good these days but didn’t used to be
  4. “Current American” or “current mex when compared to American “?
  5. American isn’t worth the extra ££ in my humble opinion
  6. If that’s your price mark I’d buy Japanese in the marketplace here
  7. It’s time for bed .... 🛌 @Andyjr1515 Swap the router for Horlicks, put your pots of coloured sanding dust back in their catalogued, contour foam shielded racking and bid them Good Night.
  8. What you seem to have At the least is an American body and neck
  9. I thought that operating a motor vehicle When unsure that you have reasonable vision would render you uninsured ? You would be tacitly admitting a possibility of unfitness to drive safely
  10. Usual “take it slow, make it even then speed it up slowly” routine
  11. I note that his little finger is twitching along. ‘Mine doesn’t
  12. Thanks for this, it’s something I’ve tried and failed at. Maybe I didn’t try hard enough. I watched Adam Clayton do it once, playing “with or without you”. If he can do it, so can I
  13. I don’t think I was making such a specific assertion. There’s some real experts around here have serial numbers been on neck plates any time recently ? I thought frnder stopped that for reissues due to ease of faking but I could be wrong
  14. Those are names that I recognise so doubt it’s jap
  15. Are you a prince ? Trauma-induced presumably
  16. This is truth. From the owner’s perspective. I only disagree in that when the last dot and bound jazz remaining Pristine has been re-sprayed neon, then we will have Truly lost something.
  17. Isn’t the huge version called a guittarron? As played in mariachi bands
  18. Tap the pup with a screw driver when connected to an amp ? Volume changes and tone changes a bit so you can tell
  19. @chris_b @gjones personally I’m very clean, and having lived in a caravan for 18 months as a kid through the hottest summer and coldest winter on record, I really value “personal clean” having known “personal unclean”. I wash my hands before playing but I don’t clean my bass each time just like I don’t sanitise a hammer each time.
  20. Clean ... the ...bass.... no, no idea what you’re talking about. Jameson refused to clean his bass commenting that the funk lived in the dirt. He’d know. And he’s a god, so he cannot be wrong because gods are never wrong. If they were, they wouldn’t be gods. here endeth the lesson
  21. I use the zoom b2.1 - runs on batteries and works for live too. Has a headphone out and some basic drum patterns and it’s built Tough enough to survive a nuclear holocaust
  22. I got a cheapo “spider” one that was much louder with fender phosphor bronze on it than the strings it came with. It had a basic preamp. Good for noodling around the house too.
  23. Drowned out by anything else
