  1. There is, I’ve just been lurking there. You don’t even want to know what they were saying about some “moss” geezer, whoever the fairy-cake he is
  2. Nice - go for it. Keep us posted start your “coloured wood dust”collection with this build and soon you’ll have a wall full just like @Andyjr1515
  3. Mine doesn’t ....
  4. Screen wipe please 🤭
  5. I got one of these - Inkbird ITC-308 Digital Temperature Controller Thermostat Dual Relays Heating Cooling 220V Plug https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B018K82UQU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_CVB625VM2YQHZW66EQE0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 which has two sockets. Connect one to a heater and one to a fan. Set your desired temperature and it will trigger one or other of those to keep it in your specified range
  6. I bought an SR16 and came very close to throwing it at a shut window. I’m a professional programmer and I’ve seen some really stinky poo interfaces in my time but the SR16 is hands-down the worst machine I’ve ever had to use try oxygen, a free online drum machine
  7. Probably the archaeologists of the future will find some fret wire there, and a scrap of pale wood and claim it’s obviously a “real Hendrix Stratocaster fragment”, a piece of the one true cross (...town traffic) see what I did there? 😎
  8. English is hard and as someone who’s had to work in a foreign language a lot, I know you’re always struggling for a word
  9. Where does the tractor attach ? I assume the upper horn cuts the earth and the strings and lower horn sift it and turn it to the side before you start the next furrow ? The frets are for measuring depth of furrow cut ? is the brown colour from clay soil staining?
  10. @Reggaebass Yeah but that was for ‘and-made quality , not your CNC rubbish
  11. Another day, another nemesis ... ho hum. He’s better at jumping tall buildings in a single bound, mind and that dodging bullets stuff is child’s play
  12. “The edges”
  13. I would love this ... just take two boxes of similar size and cut one side off each, then push them together until desired dimensions are reached, then tape up the joint
  14. Wasn’t the glue found to be different in nature on a Stradivarius?
  15. Yes, they’re not even birds of any kind, let alone raptors
  16. You seem to be in the US - is it possible that that term has a less pejorative meaning here in the UK? I don’t think @Bassassin meant to offend
  17. I think we should be calling plywood “matrix ash” - after all every other word in the English language has been used in front of “ash”.
  18. That wasn’t my point - I was just saying that the factors in a wholly acoustic instrument were not comparable with those of a wholly solid one pretty much incapable of delivering its own acoustic response
  19. Yes but plugged-in, amplified solid body instruments are a more complex mix of factors than a purely acoustic one
  20. I bought pickups from him in 1990; even talked to the great man himself before placing my order
  21. No but I’ve had the four string version and it was awesome When I play in a band I play bass, but as I've not been in a band for 8 year's I've predominantly just been playing guitar I’m glad you’re feeling better now after that nasty six string illness
  22. Thank god - it’s not rubbish after all ... 😥
  23. I used to hate them and think they were one trick ponies but it’s one f u c king amazing trick that it does really well it took a lowly squier vm p to tech me this. Bought on eBay for pennies as “parts or not working” but it only had a duff bridge connection sold for more than double, with a dash of seller’s remorse as a dish served cold
  24. I use a plastic mandrel and punch set I got from Amazon - surprisingly good
