  1. Lots - every single one sent by RM international standard got there - was a bit hit and miss pre brexit but fine now
  2. I send lots of stuff by rm international standard (airmail) - rarely gets lost
  3. I’m guessing the red splashes are blood, right ?
  4. So go back and snap it right now ... you can claim it was an accident, defective timber or (with an air of sulkiness) “it was that router wot done it”. No one will ever know
  5. I’m a programmer by trade and it was the worst interface design I’ve ever encountered
  6. Whisky sauce ? why not just drink the whisky ?
  7. I went total screening with copper tape and left mine in. I assume someone will come along shortly and tell me that this set up a distortion inducing sine wave between foil and plate and had the potential to disrupt international trade
  8. I have an sr16 and that was a total pig to program
  9. Yes, random Intermediary couriers are a common hazard
  10. Yep - had just the same experience except they also smashed mine up. It had to go back to prosebass to get repaired at my expense
  11. Parcelforce will charge you for insurance but don’t actually cover instruments except under very strict conditions - like it’s shipped in a purple flight case, on a Tuesday and has a sign saying (exactly) “beware of the leopard” I’ve had no trouble with UPS @chris_b inter parcel are not a courier, but rather a broker- you could end up with Hermes... I’ve also had a very negative experience with Menzies recently where I now won’t touch them with anyone’s barge pole
  12. Think of it as pale magnolia 😛
  13. I WANT one
  14. I highly rate the 62ri versions of both J and P made in Japan - jap market versions, not even the US suffix export model the P in particular I just could not put down
  15. Or a line of silver filigree? Maybe squeeze a bass string in ?
  16. No - that’s an opportunity for a maple veneer feature fillet
  17. Well that takes the biscuit ...
  18. And before taking any incriminating photos...
  19. Probably volume, balance between pickups, treble, midrange, bass likely the rear-most four will have center notch positions https://en.m.audiofanzine.com/misc-electric-bass/traben-bass-company/array-attack-5/user_reviews/r.28628.html
  20. No, I’ll get your coat
  21. You may want to read up on the zoom b2.1u multi fx which is cheap as chips and has an octaver and it runs on AA batteries or mains and it has drum patterns and a volume pedal and it’s built strongly enough to survive nuclear attack
  22. Yes the “was delivered by Hermes” bit is just unbelievable - they lose everything. If he’d said “was despatched in error by Hermes to Reigate, in Mozambique... and claimed it to have been left in his porch” I would have found it significantly more plausible
  23. Zooms are fine with amps - I used mine straight into the board (from a p bass) and to PA and everyone commented on the sound. I also used it into an amp, a small one, with equally good results
  24. Go me - a freaking wooden genius
  25. Isn’t it also called Linden? Used to be used for wooden shields as it was strong but light
