  6. If I were in a gigging band I’d do that Bryan Adams and mel C song; one of my female colleagues is in a working band and says it always goes down a storm
  7. “Olympic white jazz bass with a difference”
  8. If you check my jazz bass build thread that’s exactly what I used - be very careful about your choice of undercoat colour - good advice given in that thread by the folks on here. I found it on eBay - reliced up a treat @Useless amateur this was the seller https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331769206320 although this listing is for clear laquer

  14. Maybe we should record a tribute on YouTube en homage to your tutorial ...
  15. My friend wouldn’t stop either - he was literally like a brother to me, much nicer than my actual brother and just what I wanted one to be. He was an only child and said the same thing. Still miss him now dead at 35
  16. Pretty sure that @Norris has one still
  17. Or a Norwegian blue ....
  18. Is gravity helping ? The work piece seems to be stuck to the ceiling
  19. I think they painted colours over bursts that went wrong too. I’d totally leave it unmolested if I were in your shoes, if you change it you’ll lose the magic, like a puppy replacing an old much-loved dog
  20. I agree, and I was careful to state the issue was with a jazz, just trying to sound a note of caution as I know that aftermarket plates are a minefield
  21. Actually not so certain - I thought so but someone I sold a mim jazz plate to says it doesn’t his k Samick jazz.
  22. You should take a sample and do the DNA thing; she’s probably Bolivian in there somewhere
  23. I do have such a bass but sadly it is buried - I’ll dig it out if thunderbird’s answer is not enough
