I reported Sykes cottages to the CMA recently over some very sharp practice (as did about 100k other people) - it’s good to know the CMA are actively engaged in the markets.

I’d just buy an active control with same number of controls and a passive switch- they aren’t silly money. Artec possibly ? any obvious loose wires ?

Very early - mine is 2004 and this looks “primitive” compared to mine and the modern version - mine has the MM pickup and is fatter at the body and headstock good bass though -

Looks very much indeed like my vintage EST96a- hardware identical only the headstock differs and yes it’s good
