I disagree - I just love the sound and feel, accompanied or not
it took a squier vm p to change my mind but as soon as I’d sold it on for a fat profit (bought as “parts” and then fettled back to life) I put the money towards a Bass Doc precision
@Deeper and down
i recommend Folsom Prison Blues as its dead easy and you can jazz it up - I add some extra notes every fourth bar to make a "clack" effect like railroad tracks. Its the first song I played live and the crowd went mental. #satisfying
Also Wicked Game - Chris Isaak - I have a homemade tab for this if it will help/.
you called Mandy a hoot above, and I, unaware of the advertising history of Paultons and its use of "hoot", assumed Steve Browning had missed his quote
@Steve Browning apologies, my lack of knowledge there, you were not wrong at all.
well, if I'd said "phwoarr nice ti..." I could understand the fuss and as the father of two stunningly pretty little girls, agree, but I didn't.
if you type @ and wait a moment you get a list of users to suit and you can drill down. Make sure you click on their avatar and the link goes orange. They then get a nudge to look.
Bit like facebook
steady on there, you'll get the same treatment from the misogyny police that I did for suggesting that one of @wateroftyne 's fellow performers was cute
I've bought some jazz bass pickups on ebay.
They have codes 048612 & 048613 underneath which I know are fender codes for the bobbins - they have "59" or "se" handwritten on in white (its a little unclear)
Standard spec for US jazz is allegedly
Neck 8.3 kohm and Bridge 7.8kOhm
they look fine visually
I used a multi-meter and measured at the soldered contacts
neck 6.9 k Ohm
bridge 7.57 k Ohm
can anyone tell me what the effect of the resistances being reversed (ie relatively between the two positions) is ?
If I've measured wrongly please advise where I should correct my technique - I used the 20 kOhm range.
thanks
actually I quite like that strat.
Those are quite brave designs (I particularly like the pink les paul) although I do prefer the look of the epiphones slightly
I too would choose suspicious minds. @Beedster
Also Folsom Prison Blues with Johnny Cash - I totally flew playing this alone with an acoustic guitarist and it would just be ace playing this with Johnny Cash if he were less dead. Crowd went mental.
