1. I don't think it's reliced enough Oh hang on, yes it is. It's perfect. GLWTS
2.
man some good places to visit down here . make sure you visit bantham blackpool sands , dartmouth , dartmoor , burgh island , lots of nice places . when are u coming down?
As above, I'm here now but with the troops
3.
Anybody else with me that thinking the dead spot problem is wildly over exaggerated? Yes, there are basses with dead spots... but there are not in abundance like basschat folklore would suggest?
I've never owned one
4. I'm here now mister. Looking for guitar shops and the like. I saw a few six strings in a window somewhere in Paignton but that could have been a crack converters
5. Any shops to recommend ?
6.
+1 to all the good things said above about meeting Basschatters for deals, or even just a drink, and attending bashes. Honourable mention for the London Bass Guitar Show too, which is teeming with Basschatters every year. And don't forget the non-bass-playing other halves. I have met Mrs CamdenRob, Mrs Grangur, Mrs Sharman, the lovely soon-to-be Mrs Dave Swift, as well as Mrs Hamster and Mrs Silverfoxnik, and found them all supportive, great fun and always willing to help out.
I forgot ms bluejay who tracked me down in the ground floor of Westminster bridge mac Donald's, despite zero mobile signal
7. I've met grangur, gremlinandy, homer and walman (I think). All have been top. I work with Norris.
8.
Gentle negative term, don't think there is a US equivalent.
Difficult, awkward, martinet, hardass, jerk, dickwad
9. no, quite right. I'm also a little uncertain why they would be turned over so quickly.
10.
I've heard that but does it not leave it unfinished and vulnerable?
I just use a fresh dish sponge (the rough green side) and take the shine off
11. i'm in the outskirts of mansfield - but not for much longer. Whitwell is sadly a little far as I have to work around child bedtimes and be available quickly in case they wake.
12. Quite enjoyed that actually
13. I'm assuming that's in welsh ? Even though I don't understand it, It's a beautifully done song and she can both sing and play ** in small print ... nice looking lady as well. (In a nice way)
14. is that a recent picture ? I know he's so talented and everything, I just find him personally very annoying.
15. I'd echo some of the above, very competently done (well done to Sybil also), I wouldn't choose to listen to this style myself but I can appreciate something done well.
16. Does anyone go to this ? Obviously whilst wearing a dirty raincoat as its *shudder* six string related. Following the demise of my previous local OM, I'm just wondering if

its any good
if I'm likely to hear the sound of pitchforks being sharpened just for turning up with either an acoustic bass or a precision with flats/rounds and a mute.
Please no monty python style "I don't (know)", "nor me" etc thanks
17. i found that the neck was an issue at first then I got over it. Thats a total bargain. Please PM me if you wver wish to sell.
18. That was me and sadly a little too late for birthday but GLWTS
19. Pictures man, right now dammit! I was sceptical too, now I'd never use anything else
20. It was bolt on, so probably the cheapo version
21. It was a sort of dark tobacco red with generic round black plastic knobs I was surprised how small it was - I'd been expecting something huge
22. Does anyone have an opinion on these ? Tried one in Matlock music shop today and was quite taken - but not enough to bust my quota
23. I have an urge to make a natural 75 reissue type jazz using a hard Ash body and 70s spacing. I know about the sanding bit - does anyone have any recommendations for particular sanding sealer, and clear lacquer - tinted or not. I want it nitro and to be a thin coat. There will be tort content later thanks
