1. Or spot it on eBay - Stolen from my car in sutton in Ashfield last night Black b2a with drop d tuner, long rectangular soft gig bag, no marks or damage If you see one in a local crack converters, or get offered one cheap please let me know ?
2. I had the otherwise identical trans red magna 5string and it was great. Struggled a little with the neck width
3. I've had one of these in this colour and it was awesome
4.
I doubt many people still use a Zoom B2 in live situations but i do. I use it for the Acoustic 360 sound which gives a good middy but mild overdrive. In my band which is a 3 piece it seems to help the bass cut through.
I do - on ampeg setting - with a precision it makes those church folks look up from their sherry
5. Battered sunburst p (bass doc) with Warwick reds; cheap but good sounding and they last for ages
6. No, he is saying take your time and absorb it, using breaks as thinktime. If you cram too hard you risk kicking yourself too hard if you make a single mistake We are saying mistakes go with the territory and few people notice so don't sweat it
7. Why would anyone do this to themselves ? 😛
8. I played Folsom prison blues recently live and they went nuts.
9.
Exactly this!
It was just a chance "parts or not working, needs a clean" listing off eBay with really bad photos. It totally blew me away to the extent that I had the bass doc make me one
10. Wow - nice relic job, VERY professional work - was it expensive ? *kidding*
11. Yes precisions; a squier VM totally turned my head to their total awesomeness
12. Best advice I have is that if you lose your place, stop playing till you know where you can come in again. If you try and guess it will sound terrible and you'll have to say youre on a jazz odyssey
13. I'm in a similar boat, first time was terrifying and I did crash and burn, making it harder to try again. But that next time I totally smashed it and the crowd went nuts. They had never heard a precision bass on "loud". Now my big fear is cocking it up and not being able to hide it, which is a different fear entirely and an easier one to deal with
14. You get graphite rods in the neck and rolled edges plus better pickups I'm not sure the extra is justified myself
15.
I'm guessing that's the Flowerpot? There's also the Diamond in Sutton in Ashfield that seemed to establish itself on the tribute tricket. Agree about the crowds, it's def more of a 'couples night out' vibe at some of those gigs unless it's a really heavy act.
That's in my back yard, I've heard tell but never been there, it's not the finest neighbourhood
16. seem a bit overpriced to me, not far off used CIJ money but they look ok and if it was nearer £250 as Dood mentions, I might be tempted.
17. I have a cheap tort one going spare if you want to try it
18.
Hohner cricket bat
I have a drop d version that I'm thinking about selling
