  1. And when is yours arriving ? @AndyTravis
  2. Me too. You’ve probably done so once already
  3. Put sellotape, or better masking tape over your pickups first if you really must use wire wool
  4. Holy fcuk that’s purdy would you mind telling me how much such a thing costs ? Approximately is fine
  5. Not greedy I loathe turkey, NBD much more interesting
  6. It’ll be days … you’ve ruined my Christmas by proxy now. You utter basket. Whilst eating turkey and trying not to be sick, I’ll be thinking “how did @wingnutkj get on with that bass ?”
  7. Not many people mod them that I know of - what exactly is wrong ? I’ve trodden this path myself and it leads to Mirkwood
  8. There’s that nice young lady who is a member on here
  9. Blasphemer !! I agree. Too many notes
  10. I’m a minority - one cheap bass and a skip-find acoustic for teaching daughter
  11. There is also an “items wanted” forum, you may get a P50 offered if you ask there. edit - poorly phrased as I’d not realised the OP was selling a p30 as harryoo was asking about.
  12. Not hating on you at all. That’s rare round here, and isn’t something I do. I wasn’t suggesting awe at all. I do think you may have misread me, or perhaps I should have added an emoticon or two
  13. Go Listen to Diana Ross and “ain’t no mountain high enough” and all/some of the other Motown and stax hits and tell me that they’re not influential enough to have had an effect on people you do recognise
  14. Rutger was a very modest man, I doubt he’d lay claim to every bass recording in the world, ever
  15. Im Not sure why any of those Motown players are listed since carol kaye recorded all of it. No question.
  16. Definite red-fade - Black doubtless looked normal when first done and for years after
  17. I get the same feeling with old basses that I do when touching old furniture. The weight of history and the lightness of touch by all the humans that have owned it. doesn’t mean that chest of drawers is innately better made than one from furnitureland or more sturdy somehow
