1. I have a 12 string acoustic which is even better for writing. I don't keep sixers in the house
2. I was reading that a brass plate in this spot changes the sound subtly - is this true ?
3.
Sweet! I own the 4 string version on this bass - same colour scheme etc and it's the best bass I ever picked up
For that money it should be
4.
Well... that'll be character-building.
His Lego block that is
5. I'll knock his block off if he makes any more weak puns
6. You get quite a lot for your money - easily enough to do one bass Because the glue conducts you don't need to solder, just overlap the pieces slightly then wire to earth somehow . On mine I get zero measureable resistance from the shield to the jack earth And it looks shiny
7. Might be worth taking some pics for Klohon so he knows exactly what's in there now
8.
that is superb, exactly the kind of idea I was after! I've got some self adhesive foil, spot on!
It's GOT to have conductive glue though I Had just this same bridge wire issue with a squier VMP - rock solid solution. Spray the copper wire out then stick it down with sticky foil
9. Regarding the bridge wire, I have some copper shielding foil with conductive glue - I just stuck The earth wire to the body with it and then screwed the bridge on tight Why don't you carefully remove the OE pots and put a Klogon loom on ?

12. Yes - someone really liked first position judging by that wear on the necks lower edge
13. There are lots of different types Take some pics and post them here perhaps ? Maybe they'll set it up for you if you pay cash-it's an ok price for a shop tho
14.
Looks super... I wonder if it will have that 'smell'
My keyboard does now . Very nice bass
15. Bought some flats from pow_22. He must have nailed them to a laser beam as they got here really quickly
16. I did think that price advice was kept to PM rather than public comment ?
17. It's a big ticket item, they take time to sell, we are coming out of a recession . I'd like one of these one day
18. Some keen traders pay no attention to "no trades" in 37 point capitals with bold, so a checklist is worth a try
19. I had a German made corvette of similar vintage The neck was very thin indeed - too thin for me but build quality was awesome Things to look out for 1. Does the plug cut out the sound if you wiggle it (when plugged into an amp) ? Common problem but maplin sell a decent replacement part 2. Has the nut broken ?
20. I'm not sure a Skype lesson would have the same feeling of immediacy but I'm willing to be convinced
