1. Bob Babbitt specifically stated that the "mock contracts" were often wrong, and often didnt reflect whose take was actually used. He recalled arguing with Jamerson in a bar when a song they'd both recorded a part for came on, about which of them was actually playing the final version. The residuals were based on the contracts and so they are only a guide at best. I'd prefer to go with the actual living memory of people who were physically there (where more than one is saying the same thing as Ck seems a bit inconsistent at best), and it seems a little unfair to lay claim to a whole canon of work when your protagonists are both dead Since CK is a pick player, and Jamerson and Babbitt both used fingers, it should be fairly easy to tell their styles apart ?
2.
Yes but do they know how to work with wood.
I agree, it's a different animal to smooth. Metal and plastic
3. I agree with Chris ; it just didn't work for me, it sounded a bit weedy I'm selling a p plate with an extra hole if you do try it?
4. Ok - how many actual strings ? It's hard to judge value
5. Jameson was drinking heavily in California and Bob Babbitt says no one really knew whose take had been used even then as the contracts for each track were often wrong - I can't see how forty years would add clarity
6. I think 21 is right
7. Find a vinyl pattern you like and smooth it into the existing plate using a credit card or somesuch
8. Can you use a vinyl on your existing plate?
9. Well that's made me mess up my screen ....

11. Out! Flipping heathens coming in here with their "one is enough" nonsense
12. Higher due to the board radius - I couldn't stop playing it and I really doubt you need to change the pup.
13. i tried a harley fatboy but it wasnt right for me. Too big, too heavy Welcome sir, you'll find its a bit friendler around here than it is on Talk Bass
14. Anyone who expects a 50 year old instrument not to have had a fret dress ever is, in my humble opinion, deluded, and after a museum piece rather than an instrument If it is a decent job I'd still buy it, instruments are made to be played
15. A lost cause....can't find a unicorn, can't educate a guitarist
16. It's quicker by i4 When I went there it was quite small; guy behind counter was really quite rude
17.
Think I might know the answer to this, but how exactly do you get one home?? I would love a new Musicman guitar as they are the same price in US dollars as they are £, but I wouldn't want it in the cargo hold. I'm guessing you also end up paying a bomb if they decide to add charges when you bring in it to the UK?
Take the neck off and stick it and the body in separate suit cases
18.
I think Bass Central are in Orlando...
They are, but a little off the beaten track.
19. There are decent tabs out there
20.
Have you ever considered that you've got Aspergers ? It's something that I have, and can cause anxiety problems, which it sounds like you have. Just get yourself organised, make notes and lists, anything to keep on top of things. Also speak to your bandmates about it, if they know, then they may do something to help.
Certainly possible, my kid has it
21. Hi I bought this in error having not counted the holes. Perfect for a PJ or a clever preamp. Tort layer very thick but please note there is a film in place https://1drv.ms/f/s!AtLmuonyj7TxsGqloi8w_al4o2_6 £24 posted to your mainland uk door
