2. I managed, you should be ok You might struggle with a five though, I had an ibanez five and it was quite wide
3. I had a prosebass with fan frets and it was lovely Even my five year could play it comfortably and not miss frets
4.
Plan my day? I'm watching him (online) go from delivery to delivery (he's on No 10 now) and tantalising has passed very close to me already...!
Do it properly; hide in a tree with binoculars You sad person...
5. Yes it's a good system and at least lets you plan your day better
6. You and drummer should slam his fingers in the door a few times
7. I bought a new pickup and it came with perfect, film covered black pup covers. I don't want these so will sell on with the classic 50s pickup - pup has plenty of wire and is in perfect working order £20 posted to mainland (second class)
8. It is, although not sure I'd pay that much
9.
The way I see it, it's small, it's not in a place where your hand would normally be when playing, it's on the underside so you won't see it when you're playing and neither will anyone else notice. Not worth the ballache to argue the toss with someone who doesn't deem it as important as you, however "right" you may be on a logical level. I'd probably be mildly irritated, resolve to do something about it then never get round to it as if the rest of the bass is sound then I'd be too busy playing/enjoying it to worry about something as minor as that little flaw. So, I'm in the "let it go" camp.
Yes don't let it hold you back anymore ...
10.
That probably is "new" condition, as that looks like a manufacturing blemish rather than something that happened to the bass after it left the factory.
Yep
11. Doubt the seller noticed in all honesty
12.
.... (Starts running faster!)
Total of people persuaded onto dance floor by a guitar line : 3(ever) Total of people persuaded onto dance floor by a bass line : 73.8million Go figure
13.
Playing guitar is 10x cooler anyway... (Starts running)
Can someone please delete his account ? I don't see why we should stand for people posting utter tripe on this forum
14. Zero sense more like
15. You can use a regular 3/16 Allen key but the fender tool is waisted allowing you to turn the nut at an angle
16. I'd pick U2 as it's not too taxing and there would be squillions of piles of cash to struggle along with
17. I've got an sr16 and I find programming it a lot of pain (i'm actually a programmer by day) I'd recommend hydrogen
18.
Thanks for this, just checked it on Amazon and it's ideal. I'm having that!
I have it, it's very worthwhile
19. Plenty good stuff there thanks
20. Not my cup of tea but quite stylish in my humble opinion
21.
Looking at the more recent catalogues on Tokai Register, your bass is very similar (or, identical as far as I can see!) to the APB32 model which appears in catalogues between 1995 & 2000: Regarding the date, I've read that Tokai's Fender clones don't use date-decodable S/Ns, although this doesn't seem very likely to me. I'm not really familiar enough with Tokais to have educated opinion on country of manufacture - but my MIJ Talbo reissue (from 2000-ish) doesn't state a country of manufacture anywhere, so the same may be the case for the Fender copies. So, mid/late 90s APB32, from where I'm sitting. Unless anyone else knows different... Jon.
I had a fender clone with a date decode able sn. Made in 1990 so I disagrer
22. Id say relatively recent as the headstock isn't very fender All the older jap ones I saw were very fender
23. Fender acoustics strings are cheap and work well Edit : phosphor bronze not steel
