3.
Hey everybody. Ok, so I'm not playing in a band anymore and I'm not able to get out to jam nights for the foreseeable due to having little ones.
this is me also.
4. Don't need 5 - my bass doc precision has cured GAS - it does everything and plays like its coated in butter.
5. I think I was bidding on that one - was it located near Sheffield ?
6.
I always prefer Spectors with nice natural, or stained, wood tops
+ 1
7. I had a squier vm precision that absolutely killed everything around it. It's only imperfection was a rosewood board
8.
I am , sad to say , old enough to have seen Green Day play live back when they were an unknown band playing to twenty people in a student bar for free , and countless other times in similaly modest circumstances . They must be about the same age as me . Back in those days they used to do a post-modern ironic cover of Goodbye To Romance by Ozzy Ozbourne . If you had told me twenty -odd years ago that they would become a 21st Century supergroup I would have laughed at you .
Slightly OT dingus, but who is this week's lady in your avatar ? Can't quite make it out on my iPhone screen
9.
I learned on a vintage Stingray copy, it was an okay bass, had a 3 up 1 down headstock, i went through 3 or 4 of the bottom tuner, the slightest impact would snap it. Played my first gig on it. It was a cool bass
Yes I had one of those the est96a It's a very underrated bass - I still play it
10. Why has no one snapped this up ? I would, if I wasn't GAS free thanks to the bass doc Free bump
11. Wow If I wasn't certified GAS free i would be after this
12. I see what you mean - who do you think you are ? Springs to mind My vote goes to the smiths and the charlatans
13. No - they all do that. Try 100% bridge 80% neck
14. I got a nimzy - which turns furniture/walls/flat surfaces into speakers
15. Yup I had the same road to Damascus conversion when I got a squier vm precision
16. sorry - cant stand brown tort. Different strokes.... The Bass Doc is making my black plate now, so hiopefully my lovely P bass will be back in action soon
17. What a total dick - you were very clear on eBay Have a free bump on me
18. Yes I have a bass doc sourced nitro (body and neck) and it does feel different to poly
19.
get a squier and spend the rest on hookers
Cheap ones so you get more for your money
20. I used to hate the idea of a p with its fat wide neck but I tried a squier vm p and it was so lovely that I asked the bass doc to make me one that was a 73 replica P complete with nitro paint and jap parts.
21. I wouldn't bet on it - I did just this, plus stuffed it full of poly blocks and the Royal Mail still managed to fill it full of holes, and deny all claims for compensation because it wasn't packed to their stipulation in a hard case that was itself packed up in a specific way
