  1. Adagio flats (ebay and Amazon) are, to me at least, very acceptable giving huge bang per buck I didn’t like fender flats, but the guy who bought my p bass, in a different galaxy to me talent-wise messaged me after to ask what they were (adagios) as he really liked them
  2. @John-E-Retro probably doesn’t recall after this long but he was very helpful with regard to putting a piezo bridge into a jazz bass and balancing it with the other pups
  3. That’s interpretation spelling, but you’re right. Let’s stick to the original #joking btw
  4. You need to take a trip here Daryl come to a bass bash
  5. Get … out of my head ! Every time I read one of these threads and have decided what I’m going to write in reply , I find you have already done it 😳
  6. I Assume Google doesn’t work for him. A tab or two gets you close enough well that took ages…. Who is this @TKenrick dude anyway ? https://freebasstranscriptions.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Queen-Crazy-Little-Thing-Called-Love-edit.pdf
  7. Personally I don’t think it matters much as long as you and any audience are enjoying. playing an instrument and with other people is supposed to be fun. It’s what I do to get away from my working day where I have to conform- if I substitute a verse pattern for a chorus pattern because I feel like it, or I make a mistake, no fairies will die.
  8. There are two different schools of thought. I take the view that I’m there to make people listening happy, either tgey or a landlord are paying. My personal level of perfectionism takes a back seat. However l also get the “get it exactly right” mentality
  9. Was tending to fender neck, hondo body but the weird inlays steer me away different varnish shade on headstock is normal - their normal varnish attacked the decals and these age differently bitsa. Might be a good player but not worth premium vintage money
  10. Actually that is not always true. If it proves to be something other than described in a substantial way you can reclaim
  11. Regarding string thru, misalign when drillling thru from front is exactly the mistake I made with a Vintage Fake, reject it
  12. Huh? A guitard? You know how no one has ever domesticated a zebra …
  13. As long as the crowd are dancing/cheering/singing along/not killing each other does it matter ?
  14. For me the place had the odd sense of death. Not down to the usual clientele but a lot of people died of water-borne diseases whilst living in the pub as they dug the canals in the 1830s, as I later found out
  15. Getting flashbacks … used to live 100yards from there and work just other side of the a610. Looks like someone painted it all since … and removed the axes buried in the wall.
  16. Been there, done that. I used to live far out from a remote village, that was in the middle of nowhere, where nowhere is on the outskirts of beyond
  17. Are you really coming from Aberdeen to the SW bash ? That’s an epic journey
  18. I have one as a 5 and it got huge plaudits on Wednesday night
  19. I’ve done this on an electro acoustic- does work
  20. An acoustic bass with a big body isn’t a million miles away from your situation - hope you get a solution here
  21. There are other kinds of guitard? 🤔 who knew ?
  22. I bought it, Dear Reader the seller was very happy to see it go to a good home and I’ve passed on The Good Word Of basschat it’s not pretty, but it seems to work (quietly) at zoom output level. When the speakon to 6.35 lead arrives I will try it on full throttle from my TC bh250
  23. Based only on an acoustic bass and amping, I’d go to the PA every time
