1. Worth also setting up your "buyer requirements " so you can exclude people with unpaid item strikes, then you don't need to pre block
2. Thanks - I will adopt it but she's still at it - judging from her recent feedback It really is wrong that buyer feedback isn't affected by unpaid item strikes and so on
3.
You can block any bidder.
You can. But only once you've been stung I wanted to stop other people being stung too.
4. I apologise to anyone I upset, I didn't mean that I do nothing else .. Or that its a hobby/business I just meant that if you are patient, and use the searches someone will list something you want for a low start price that you can win for not much
5. Totally disagree - bargains are entirely findable
6.
I looked at a DVD of guitar playing years ago.The item was bidded up to £18 with a few hours to go. I scrolled down the page and it had the same thing for buy it now at !4.99 from the same seller. I bought it at the buy it now price. I really think some people treat it as a game and get an adrenaline rush when they win
They do, but see my post above
7. Yes - if the seller is silly enough to fail to put a reserve on, or to list it to finish at 3:32am then that's their loss. You can't blame the bidder for winning fairly, or relisting the item more sensibly and making a profit
8. I cannot understand the dumb people who watch a fixed price item until it ends. On another note, I am having trouble with an eBay troll who bids on items, wins them and never pays. Her feedback text is AWFUL but percentage still 100% of course, eBay do nothing despite multiple sellers reporting her User hollygrassby if you would like to avoid her.
9. I'd return it to standard , THEN sell it People like standard IME
10. I just have two - well one right now, a vintage stingray copy, and a replica 70s p bass in maple / sunburst on order chez bass doc
11.
I was going to say I'm sure my 03 is Nitro also - but - - - - - - & don't believe 1/2 what you read on talkbass
http://basschat.co.uk/topic/204292-nitro-finished-fenders/page__fromsearch__1 See gruffers and matt One and 1 are different
12. There were two versions honestly, one version had a badass bridge and nitro paint, the other was acrylic with a regular bridge http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/highway-one-highway-1-difference-922204/
13. Not if you're using the mobile version I'm sorry to be picky but I think it's a highway 1, not a (later) highway one ?
14.
Possibly, but I'm notoriously bad at knowing who bass players are so I have no idea who Bobby Dall is.
In an eighties hair metal band , if my memory is working. Possibly Poison ?
15.
I have 'Fender' logo designs, ...more recently my girlfriend bought me one that says 'Dirty, Filthy, Nasty Bass' which I quite enjoy wearing!
Mine bought me one that says 'bass players do it deeper'
16. From left to right, Bronagh Gallagher, angeline ball, Maria Doyle Kennedy (who was also in an episode of father ted) Hang on - you asked about basses, didnt you ...
17. It's important to distinguish between copyright and publishing (in the legal sense). If you hear a song being played, and you're influenced, even subconsciously, to create something similar then the other party have a claim potentially, whether its useful or worthwhile pursuing it or not is another matter. As said above, you need proof of your contribution or your prior art in creating it in the case of just hearing it in a pub So tab it out, write it down, record it on your phone, then send it to a third party. You don't need a lawyer, just someone reliable, perhaps a parent. Put a statement on it, verbally or written of the date and your name.
18. I would nominate my squire vintage modified precision, a white / black/ rosewood one made in Indonesia I paid £80 on eBay as a parts/not working item. It took about 30 mins to fix the issue and clean it up. It was absolutely f£&)ing superb
19. Ive ordered a replica precision bass in nitro from the bass doc so that makes me chav, i suppose. Its in nitro, so it'll relic up quickly, do i get extra credit ?
20. I agree that the 3TSb choice is a bit odd, but I'd buy it (or duplicate it with a 2SB) if I had the money
