1. Sadly they don't collect from my postcode and the Nottingham folks they referred me to were less helpful
2. Slightly off topic, but did anyone else notice that there was a floor mounted autocue with the lyrics during Elton and Gary's duet ? Partner didn't believe me until I paused the tv
3. Just found them - wasn't quoting them yesterday. Thanks for the confirmation
4. Yep last two things I sent via parcelforce looked like they had been machine gunned
5. Most couriers aren't quoting when destination is NI
6. Parcelforce don't insure (well, pay out anyway) if its not in a hard case.
7. Anyone got one to recommend ? Pickup from East Midlands, going to Belfast. Not parcelforce please as they seem to make a hobby of putting holes in things for me
8. Fixed - thanks for the headsup
9. AS-NEW US made American special in absolutely perfect condiion (2012). This is the model with the graphite rods in the neck. It has no cosmetic flaws at all. Comes with perfect deluxe gig bag and all the case candy (unused, unopened). I'm not really liking the colour but lots of people like red. Can be collected from near Mansfield. Will reluctantly ship at actual cost (UPS next day) Here is a slideshow link http://s1149.photobu...rican%20special Direct link for those without flash http://i1149.photobu...zpsvb4libh5.jpg
10. Neither - use a dowel is my advice
11. If you get the right drill you might not even need glue. No harm In it though. I can confirm dowels are a cheap easy and effective solution . Just be sure to cut them off level (chisel) and sand it smooth if it isn't already smooth to the touch Put a piece of masking tape round the drill at the correct depth to avoid going too far through the neck.
12.
Mine is too, as far as I'm aware it's exactly as it was new (US 2006)
It used to hum loudly but took about an hour to solve
13. No reason for a jazz bass to hum either. Mine is absolutely silent due to copper shielding and slight changes to wiring.
14. It needs tort ....
15. pretty! (although insufficicent Tort present)
16. I walked past Chris Bryant's and it seemed to be working Went to wunjos and didn't realise that bass was a separate shop. Doh . People nice in there so pleasantly surprised after some past surliness
17. Is if volume / volume / treble / bass ? Or am I missing something ? Thanks
18. Needs new strings and a battery as both are utterly dead Away at moment - will try it when I get home. I'll move it on if it's not my thing
