  1. These are now surplus to need. Hand made by matte_black on this forum, they can be series or parallel. They have internal shielding, and so have three connectiors of which two go to earth. Currently wired for series and give a nice fat jazz bass sound with no background noise or hum. no visible polepieces so a smooth black face. standard jazz bass sizes, fitted a CIJ 62 reissue perfectly. will load pics tonight. Looking for £30 plus postage at cost for these beauties. Obviously you can collect if you're local.
  2. bump due to edit - the bass is now standard and original

  9. Hi I've been offered one of these, and its a US according to the seller. I did think they were made in Mexico . Can anyone provide any information about (early?) US models, or any likely differences between us and mex models? Also interested if anyone knows any weak or strong points ? Serial number indicates US 07/08 Thanks
  10. Wow. Very nice. How did you learn this ?
  11. I'm not in a band, mainly due to free time issues. When I get practice time, I mostly playalong on Amplitube/IRig I have discovered "playalong" books recently though - which make learning much faster as you get a guide track that you can mix the bass out, or down
  12. Only the other musicians, and also the guitarists. Although the call centre director surprised me recently by commenting on the "nice 62 reissue jazz" on my avatar.
  13. "Would really like this but need to sell one first" bump
  14. Slight difference in gauge causing alignment issues on the neck?
