I just used a metal fret mask (off evilbay) and some brasso, and 20 year old brass frets came up like new

I got a similar "clouding" effect from immersing chrome in a mixture of toilet duck, salt and diet coke - suspect the toilet duck was the active ingredient as some cleaner contain weak hydrochloric acid.

Yep she sounds like a keeper for lots of reasons - be in a band with her and make yourself happy. Give your current band three months to replace you so they have a deadline
