1. Stating year would be good ?
2.
first time we played a Sunday teatime gig about 5 years ago we'd never heard of them and we thought who's going to be there? but it went well and then it dawned on us, "what else is there to do on a Sunday teatime?". They have become a lot more popular in this area since then, it's got to be better than being dragged round the shops by the other half, any excuse to get out of that.
I'd like to try one of these once the small people have grown up a bit.
3.
The last Sunday afternoon gig we played was a couple of years back, on the same afternoon that Andy Murray played in his first Wimbledon Men's Singles Final and there was the British G.P. at Silverstone. [Note to Blue: In transatlantic terms, think of being up against the SuperBowl and a Mets/Yankees game.] There's been very little enthusiasm since then for playing to an empty room while everyone within 50 yards crowds around a paiur of TVs in the next bar.
what an awesome opportunity to endlessly jam over "the chain"...
4.
Surely things have improved immeasurably since that One Direction chappy has left Redditch? Haven't they?
I imagine the fop-haired tw@ coefficient has nose-dived
5. This is not a fender part, it's a generic one. Price is including mainland uk postage Bacs or PayPal gift please Pics available http://s1149.photobucket.com/user/geek99/library/bridge%20cover
6. Should ask for a lock perhaps ?
7. Bit sarcastic perhaps ? If he is new he may not know how to post pictures yet and if a relative has just passed away may have other things on his mind. To the original poster: yes I'm sure we can help you.
8. I've followed them since 1983, and they have lost me with this hopelessly self indulgent piece of junk I don't care that they put it on my iphone, but I am very glad I didn't have to pay to find out what it's like
9. Loads of youtube tutorials but basically get a stiff kitchen knife (use the top side, not the actual blade) or a trem bar, steel ruler or the like and rub it on the edge of the board between the frets until it loses it's sharp edge. Repeat for each fret, top and bottom of board. Soften the edges off with some fine wire wool. No need to fiddle with fret filing if you just soften the wooden edge a little.
10. Why don't you roll them yourself? It's really simple Thanks to Eddiehoffman and raslee for the tip about 70s p soundalike
11. I deleted it also. Not one of their finest efforts
12. I'm really impressed that everyone likes their pickups, and no one seems to feel the need to change them. I'd still love to know what they are, if they really are that good
13. Still has the film on the plastic cavity plates
14. I bought it - it's s millennium not a cirrus as the link suggested - but totally mint
15. People do seem very satisfied with the pickups; and consensus on that is most unusual around here. I'd like to know the answer to this also, and can any one tell me where he gets his red tort ? Thanks
16.
I always thought they meant they'd hang on to the item or that it was on it's way to ebay.
Yep
17. Looks mint- will try it and move it on if it doesn't suit
18. Good price then
19. I will have to go back tmrw and inspect in more detail - chap offered to set up an amp for me
20. This one http://www.gak.co.uk/en/peavey-cirrus-bxp-5-string-quilt-top-tiger-eye/51256 They are asking £219 but I'm in a cheeky mood Opinions on these, folks ?
21. Pmt have them up at £439
22.
Indeed. And I'm sure Apple spent a few $m getting a firm legal opinion about the whole exercise as well as the $100m for Bonio and pals.
They don't need an opinion - it's perfectly simple legally. Basic contract law, year one. If there are terms that are applicable and made available, you should read them and cannot rely on ignorance of them or their implications.
23. But I want a bxp, not an ugly cirrus
24. He is technically correct . It is in the EULA that you agreed to (whether or not you read the terms, it's not up to apple to make you read or understand them, the law assumes that you are bound by them in either case and allows you to choose to read in detail or not). They freely tell you how to stop it happening and how to remove it once it has happened so it never happens again. Both procedures are easy to accomplish. I'm not saying that it was a sensible decision on their part, just that you agreed they could do it.
