1. for my tastes, its a bit "out there". Maybe I'm just too conventional....
2. Isnt there a "questions" tab ? I think the classifieds are actually an improvement.
3.
High C does not necessarily have higher tension. It may feel that way because of the lesser diameter feeling more pointed on the fingertip. Some folks, not liking low B, but wanting the low range, tune the lowest string to C so it is C-E-A-D-G instead of B-E-A-D-G. Even I experimented with that for awhile before going to a size larger B string and tuning conventionally.
ProseBass, who made my high C five string, specifically told me that it was so. I was asking him about changing it over to a Low B.
4. Pleasure to meet you, walman "Peer-reviewed by another basschatter" type bump
5. bear in mind that a high C has higher string tension so you'll likely need to tweak the neck relief, and you'll probably need a new nut.
6. Well, you can always just have a look It is quite the bargain
7.
Purley
Say no more ! have a "thats pretty" bump on me.
8. I'm in all day saturday I do make very good coffee so you can come by and look if you want
9. quite interested - please include pics of battery arrangements also. Will be in london early December. thanks
10.
I dont understand what the problem is with this song. We are entertainers. We are there to entertain people, and if thats what they want, thats what we give them. If we only played songs we like, it,ll be a very short set!!
this...
11. Has this moved on to badass yet ? It hasnt been updated in about two months.
12. Just counted the hours and I can bump this without fear Does no one want a really nice, shiny, mint US p bass at a good price?
13. All on list (ie no one right now, but maybe people will join), I have an arrangement with Bluejay to hand over book in early Dec when I am in London.I'll PM whoever comes along when I'm done although I'm a fast reader so it shouldnt be too long.
14. No, I believe the peson who has finished PMs the next person in line to tell them its ready. At least thats the way I understand it to work.
15. I'm bumping at almost exactly 36 hours as I want to sell this item, and I had stuff to do afterwards.
16. 9:09 am today would be 24 hours, so I think I'm only off by half an hour or so from 36 hours aren't I ? I'm busy helping my disabled partner now (36 minutes later on from my post) which is safely in the "36 hour plus" zone
17. pity your child wasnt born two years ago - I have the perfect thing for sale right now.
18. I'm pretty sure this one is in the Bass Tab "white pages"
19. I have the 93 CIJ 62 reissue jazz and its just beautiful. I would agree that the pickups were a bit weak, and VERY noisy even after "star earth" wiring and copper foil and taking resistance down to 0.008 ohms between pickup and socket earth. I changed mine for split coil HBs made by matte_black on this forum and its now perfect. I havent had any issues with tuners or bridge, frets are a bit worn but its seen use [shrug]
20. I believe one of those techniques is called "appoyonado' although perhaps someone would correct my spelling. I'm not usually wild about relicing, but that is nice.
21. Get all the sleep you can now. My 3 year old still wont sleep thru and partner and I are absolutely on our knees. I fell asleep standing up once. Congrats though I'd suggest any bass by fender as the serial numbers are easily linked to the year which is the point. He/she can then make it roadworn themselves
