1.
For example I've just watched one where the player talks through basic ways to practice a major scale, real beginners stuff, and then demonstrates it in the form of a fast solo passage. I would think this would confuse beginners? Am i right? Also demonstrating on 5 string basses without dots, does that hinder any of you?
In Tim Bogerts otherwise excellent RockBass for beginners DVD, he stupidly chooses a six string, I have been playing a while and I still need to think hard when looking at what he's doing. Scott Devine's lessons are good, but I cant understand why he wears those silly gloves, anyone know?
2. my little one has loved my jazz bass since she was tiny. I have photos of her plugging it in at about 1 year old. I figure it'll be cheaper for her to be into music than ponies.
3. I've had a fanned fret bass from him and it was amazing.
4. i've just done a deal with Tom1946 and would happily do so again
5. Hi Thanks for the offer - thinkng about it, I really can't justify another bass, much as I Love the look of this one. One day i will build a natural ash precision with maple neck and offwhite plate but it can't be now.
6. In what way has the neck pocket been altered and what level of ding damage are we talking about here ?
7. Axl is going bald, mind you he's nearly fifty so I don't think that's too bad I was under the impression that's lots of rock folk wear wigs
8. Not that I have found - the unsubscribe link doesn't work on the iPhone
9. not sure - i have "pitch" and my partner has perfect pitch- our daughter does too. Its not all "nurture"
10.
Tee hee, Stef, but I'm a girl At least I'm not wasting money on shoes
Go girl. My little daughter loves basses AND shoes. Disaster looms
11. that is a great price - sadly I already have a 93 of the same type and cant justify it.
12. absolutely yes, it is. Please note that it has no screws with it (see top posting- Tom1946 asked first so I gave them to him) . It is all packed up and ready to go. If youre okay with that - please PM me your address and I'll give you a paypal address - I'd like £10 plus either £2.20 (second class at cost) or £2.70 (first class postage at cost). I dispatch as soon as possible after payment, same day if possible.
13. Can I have them pls ? I have a 62 reissue that needs one for the headstock rear Thanks
14. It is maple necked and apparently showroom condition So ticking all boxes
15. Cool - not sure if it's maple or rw - coming Saturday
16. I had no trouble at all adjusting. Go for it
17. I got this condition and went to see my gp. We are fortunate to have a specialist hand clinic in our area (pulvertaft centre at the derby royal) and they gave me intra wrist injections which made things much better. They wear off eventually so they then did an operation on my wrist to loosen the ligament and the difference is amazing
18. Apparently mint, yes. Private sale. They're going for £439 at gak. I've not seen it yet as its a part ex On Friday for something I have that the seller really, really wants. Im paying less than 75% so thanks both of you for the guidance. I might be shifting it on (was trying to down size) if anyone is interested?
