Lovely looking girl like that - and you are all banging on about Bass Tabs....
Shame on the lot of you.

Absolutely. Focus, people, focus
Update on sound: the coil tap sounds like John mc vie on "the chain" to me, using both coils is a very fat precision sound that's quite immense in tone
Thanks jim
Perhaps you could comment on its sound for notts Warwick ? I don't have the experience
To me it sounds a bit like a fat precision on both coils and like a jazz on coil tap but don't quote me on that
For sale or TRADE for a decent five string
My prose bass custom five string with fanned frets.
It has a mahogany body with a nicely flamed maple neck, the neck has no front markers but has subtle side markers. It took five minutes to get used to the fanned frets.
The humbucker has a coil tap and sounds either fat and smooth or clear and smooth depending.
It has individual saddles with through body stringing. It's got 24 frets and is strung e thru c.
It's very light and easy to play and comfortable to play when seated. Might suit a lady player too ?
I'd like around £265for this
If youd like to try it, or collect in person that isn't a problem. I live off j28 of the M1. I'd prefer collection due to recent bad experiences
Yes, my first bass - a white white maple no name pbass copy. I didn't realise how good it was and resprayed it, added pups, fiddle with the electrics, defreyted it, refretted it very badly and generally ruined it.
I have no idea what happened to it

Watching this thread with interest as i am taking my two daughters aged 5 and 7 up to "the smoke" for the first time soon. I am a Londoner but moved away years ago and don't go back very often so am unfamiliar with the attractions (not Elvis')
Eye sounds good. As does the boat trip.
Thinking about the Natural History museum? Planetarium? London zoo?
edit for spelling...

There's a marine exhibit by the south bank of Westminster bridge that's worth a visit. If you're wanting to go on the eye - book online in advance as its much quicker when you get there. River cruises also cheaper online in advance
Short version is , I chipped off a little paint fitting pickups, person before me managed to lose a big chunk of paint/lacquer down to the wood on lower bout then sprayed with car paint. Needs sanding back to make it ok
I have a 93 jazz cij - its a 62 reissue in sunburst. I thinks it's the lower spec jap pickup version
The body is pretty battered due to a previous owner and I'd like it to look better. It would probably need to go back to bare wood
Can anyone advise:
Is it likely a nitro finish ? Will a polyester respray look much different ? Quote is £150
Should I just get another, preferably jap, sunburst body ? Brandoni £130
What would you do ? I'm not planning to sell but might one day if Abs necessary
I know it feels as I'm in a similar boat, I also tried stand by me, but found the off beat bit tricky as a relative newbie - I get very very little practice time
What I found helpful was buying a drum machine to jam along with. You can decent online ones too. Record yourself If you can - the good bits are a good confidence boost
As someone else observed - listen to the bass in songs - I try to imagine bass that i would put in there, even if I can't actually play it yet
Listen to the guitar and imagine what you'd play behind it and how you'd change the sound
