  1. As metals go, it’s fairly good
  2. I know - in 100 years time people will be ascribing magical qualities to fender Japan 62 reissues made of bog standard poplar. it makes me laugh
  3. I only scoop out the lower mids, like a blessed piece of fairy wood (ie. ‘62 alder, touched by Saint Leo)
  4. It changes the tone …. 🍿
  5. Yes lucky it’s not a bunch of guitarists. They’d be throwing shit at each other and trying to do “the adding thing”
  6. Lots of members travel around … you might get lucky
  7. Is that the bowling green @Norris?
  8. You do, but I wouldn’t take it to a winery just in case someone slips with their drink .

  15. It works, not had a chance to turn it up loud. Good enough for my purposes, and I put casters on it
  16. I had that Emmanuel Macron on the phone the other day, he said he was trying to find models for the replacement medieval gargoyles that were lost in the Notre Dame fire … and could I suggest anyone? I thought about mentioning a certain blonde french woman but I think I may just have struck gold here. I’ll donate the finder’s fee to @lee650 even though he sold me a rubbish bass that took forever to arrive, not least as he’d shipped it via the Congo** ** not all of this is true, possibly none of it
  17. Looking again I’d suggest the original foam disintegrated and this is some modern silicon putty from when the EMGs went in
  18. @Delberthot interested in view of hb flats
  19. I went to an OM. It was totally dead. The host was nowhere in sight so I hung around for ten minutes and gave up. The landlady told me it hadn’t gone well. As I was leaving a young lady at a table near the door said she’d wished I’d got to play (she obviously hasn’t heard me or she wouldn’t make such a ridiculous claim). I said that sadly bass is not a solo instrument and other people are needed, unfortunately not the case tonight. Her blank look at the word “bass” told me everything I needed to know about perceptions of our instrument but it was nice that she said it. someone I presumed to be the host scuttled into view at that moment and headed for the om area, he didn’t see me though he passed within a metre or so. I hope the landlady had a word about not deserting his post
  20. Yes. Since the copper plates are there
  21. Totally agree with all that. Maybe it had a jazz neck for a while ? I’d guess at sunburst originally
