I do partly agree, playing bass is a mentality that your part is a piece of the whole cake, not the entire cake in and of itself. I think that’s why guitarists don’t nail it, they can’t take a step back backwards. Whereas bass players are more able to step out of the box occasionally

The way I see is this: bumper stickers about your affiliations invite discord and arguments. If you keep your views to yourself (bumper stickers fairly rare here) no one is going to find a fast reason to disagree or dislike you. I view stating my politics as being exactly like driving around in a car with a pro-Harris /pro trump sticker on it. Keep it for the ballot box on election day.
