  11. I focus this in an alternative way. I don’t need a new bass to get better at X. This bass is better at being a bass than I am at playing it. It is I would need to get better at X. for X substitute “timing”, “note choice”, “showmanship”, “talent” or bete-noire du jour

Going to suggest “in the midnight hour” as a) a homage to duck Dunn b) we have a lady saxophonist so the horn parts are do-able c) I absolutely love that tune and it’s the first one I figured out by ear so it’s a huge proud moment for someone as talentless as I am I spoke to the ridiculously talented keyboard player who happens to be the brother of the ridiculously talented bass player about a full-on blues jam next time if anyone has any killer blues jam endings please let me know (the climbing up the neck to the dusty end eighth note pluck-fest type of thing)
  24. It helps though I just use grenades @SpondonBassed I live next to a school so the use of military hardware is fully justified seriously though @Suezee what bass are you playing most right now and what genre do you most enjoy ?
