  1. @TheGreek now you’ve got him really upset - he’ll come round to your house and relic a Stratocaster on your finest China dogs. ** **assuming he was wearing gloves so as not to make actual skin contact with a weedy stringed monstrosity

  4. EBay “blues tribute” is what I use @Stub Mandreltried it as did @petecarlton
  5. I think of the O in offside as being like the steering wheel so it’s easy
  6. Is Hank Marvin playing a gold hardware strat ? i like b/b/ maple but didn’t know they came with gold
  7. Your English is absolutely fine, I’ve met native born speakers of English who would not get a vocabulary or command of grammar anywhere like yours even if they lived to be 1000. English is complicated, really complicated, as I am learning whilst teaching my children

  10. Guess that’s why 12 bars are popular …
  11. I was referring to monty python holy grail - “lady in the lake her arm clad in shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur…” if LZ can drag Gollum in I don’t see why prog mightn’t go a bit myths and legends
  12. Is someone waiting in there to throw a sword at him? Make him king … that kind of thing ?
  13. The extended version is much better. His battered precision was my model for my own relic P - I find him quite inspirational still as I once did think “I can do that” do agree they’ve run a bit dry recently
  14. Hello and welcome back nice sunburst finish perhaps ?
  15. I’m hugely fond of the baseline to “please” very funky
  16. I thought his name was Ken …
  17. Thicker strings are harder to pull so the truss rod needs to exert more force to resist them. Thinner strings are being pulled against the fret board as the truss rod is resisting more than needed. You therefore need to reduce tension on the truss rod I imagine it as a tug of war where a team member leaves on one side - with him the two sides are evenly matched
  18. That is indeed a Mary Kay finish - very hard to do well
  19. Need screwdrivers / Allen keys / feeler guages I also got a steel ruler and an oilstone as it’s wide and abrasive
  20. I learned to do it … it’s easy with help of @Andyjr1515 and some other kind folks - read through and only used an£11 kit from eBay - link is in the thread
  21. Probably overbow given the lighter strings - just release truss rod
