  1. You’re welcome here we have lots of US members and it’s much nicer here than TalkBass
  2. They don’t. Try what @Stub Mandrel says above all will become clear - this is just a phase. All of this will be second nature in the very near future - I promise that No one is born able to play bass guitar just like no one is able to drive instantly
  3. Back bow or a high fret are common causes Or poor technique possibly but maybe make a video and upload it so we can help you better ?
  4. No, nothing will break just undo what you did, then re-evaluate And always mark your start point using a sharpie I advise you to talk to @Hellzero or @RonC and work it through slowly, or take their very gracious offer to assist you. this is one task that’s actually quite simple to do when you understand it
  5. Regular dust will do but it has to be seasoned and blessed by Fender pixies
  6. Still v expensive 4k for a telecaster 🫨
  7. Wales is famous for its rain frequency, Daryl
  8. Hell no… this young padawan is different. Perhaps he will be a champion of gear abstinence 2026? 🤷‍♂️ #asif
  9. Doesn’t mean they should cost you your hearing
  10. I believe he was teasing about the typo… “cangle”
  11. I bought my vintage est96a there in moulsham street c 2007
  12. Just go with anti-clockwise and keep it simple
  13. Just get a suitable Allen key and give it successive quarter turns anti clock wise, retuning after each quarter turn I had exactly this problem in my acoustic bass. plenty of videos on the net but if you hold the thickest string at first and last fret and cannot see a small gap between the string and the 9th fret you have too much backbow
  14. Does anyone remember James Dace music in Chelmsford?
  15. Only really an intense dislike of rickenbackers, however the topic says “irrational” and that prejudice is not irrational, so I’m out for a duck
  16. We’ll see how it goes down with the coal-villeins. They say coalvillians, I think my name is nearer the truth @Count Bassy
  17. This transcription inspired me to call this bass-heavy Gary Moore tune on my next jam session @ConstantineIsslamow
  18. Stay with the Force, do not stray to the Dark Side …
  19. I just lose myself in the bliss of playing along with someone, even if not for money. I work from home and I have a stack of chores and tasks that dwarfs a Gallagher ego. It’s nice to be out….
  20. @kiat @scrumpymikemight be able to give you some tips
  21. I think the v7 that I have is the active version so I agree with your verdict
  22. Instant freeze used by plumbers to temporarily freeze a pipe so they can work
  23. I’ve played yours and liked it a lot
  24. I actually had a blinding one. I’ve got a job interview tomorrow and the stress is getting to me. Partner and I decided that I needed to get out tonight so I went to the engineers arm in coalvile for OM night. @Nail Soup has visited. When I got there I explained to the hostess that I wasn’t sure if I was getting up but she gently pushed me into sweet home Alabama with her and another guitarist which went quite well, she then decided to do Dreams which went better than I thought it would as I’ve only ever played along to YouTube on both tunes I was just taking bass off when the next performer came up and asked the guitarist to stay instead of using a backing track. She then asked me to Stay on as well and do a song I don’t even know. When id stopped hyper-ventilating the guitarist gave me the chords and said “just wing it,they are all so pissed they won’t know”. So I did … Teenage dirt bag (another first: I used my five string properly and started on fret 5 to get the E, I’m starting to avoid open strings) sire v7 5 string sold to me by some serial rogue called @lee650 And a zoom b2 on ampeg patch shoes ? Brown. Next. That is all I know
