    Yes an Ibanez 5 string (SBX) it had a fingerboard so wide that you’d need a native guide to get from G to low B and it sounded completely soulless I have large hands but only medium stretch and it was far too uncomfortable to play

    You’ve not heard of day-bleed then? Resistance in the fancier cables is higher on adjacent days to Friday - thicker and more goldish cables are more prone to it

    Me? No. I liken being a bass player to being a dad looking after “stroppy teenager” drummers and “toddler” guitards. If they want you to use a pick they can “get tae f***”, is I think, the appropriate phrase in Scotland.
