  1. It should be totally perfect for the money they ask. There’s enough cash to set it up perfectly before it leaves and enough £ for great sounding authentic pickups that you don’t want to change … imho and the pickups are 90% of the sound 🍿🤔
  2. You could sell Others first …
  3. Im Bringing one with natural relicing (weather….) but it’s not exclusive so bring yours too
  4. Crucifixion? One cross each … stop biting your nails etc
  5. Flat sheet of varying thickness, with holes drilled for neck bolts
  6. I’ve got some brass shim inserts if you’re interested ? Varying thicknesses
  7. You are, because no one is ever “better off playing guitar”
  8. Wash your mouth out ! How dare you ?
  9. Are you Pigpen from Charlie Brown? I claim my £5
  10. It’s like they’re speaking some weird language that’s a bit like English such that you can pick out an occasional word that you recognise then they’re adding in some words that they just made up simply to throw the reader off the scent and keep their arcane intentions secret. A bit like Law, or Programming
  11. WTF does “glam ping at a star party” actually mean ? 🤔
  12. That was (at least partly) me. Mine sounded too polite like a geography teacher who’d been turned into an instrument.
  13. I’m lucky that I don’t have a dream bass lack of spare cash and a fair idea of my talent level leaves me having set myself a ceiling of £600. It’s perfectly possible to find something acceptably good in this range (new or used) that suits my pocket and is capable of better than my own ability levels allow me to extract note @Sarah5string I tried an Ibanez that was so beautifully made that i thought it must sound equally good, but it did not; bubble burst
  14. I’m happy with extra buckle rash on my basses
  15. I’d peg you as younger happy birthday 🎂
  16. I ignored Motown, though I didn’t hate it nowadays I totally realise how awesome it and stax were
  17. Note also that some others will accommodate you a little, and so you need not be perfect - my timing is imperfect and I tend to push the beat a little I had a bass teacher and he’d play guitar along. We did “stand by me”; I thought he was stretching his own timing to fit me (the learner) and became progressively more self-conscious and eventually stalled. He asked why I’d stopped when I was actually doing well
  18. What about an equipment related reference such as a “bass collection” - then we could smirk knowingly when guitarists look puzzled
