2.
Seriously...Birmingham is ace.
The truth!
3.
Well I'm not a Brummie by birth, but I actually chose to live here, which deserves a few brownie points I reckon! Been here 16 years now, so maybe am some sort of honorary Brummie?
Ummmmm. Not sure. We'll have to discuss it with the elders, we don't let just ANYONE join the inner circle. They'll need to consult the magic stones. We need to make sure the spirits are happy or they'll make bad magic.
4. Yep. This is a local thread for local people
5. ow am ya? welcum kidda! lots of us brummies ere to keep yow company. (brummie who's got lucky, married above himself and now lives up the "posh end" in solihull ) T
6. In terms of adding the third cab, I know it's more grief (to sell and then buy again) but can you not get rid of the RS112 and replace it with the RS212? Same as adding an extra cab but one less carry. I've got a RS210 and a RS212 and it's a righteous noise at 4ohms into a Classic 450. For me, the third cab is that extra push over the cliff T
7. I recently sold Geoff my head. A "diamond geezer" as they say. Geoff is an absolute gent, it was a honour to make his aquantance and I really enjoyed the time we spent chewing the bass-cud. I'd have absolutely no hesitance in saying you can deal with total confidence. Thanks Geoff. Tony
8. Man, that's pretty and I bet it's a killer sounding bass. I've got a four string which is just the canine's dangley bits. Great price for a great bass. "Best of look with the sale" bump. Tony
9.
Edit: a word of praise for Mark at Bass Direct. Hugely knowledgeable and a thoroughly nice man who loves his job. I can't speak highly enough of how accomodating he's been in regard to the Bass Bash.
+1 I went to Bass Direct this afternoon with the sole intention of walking away with an EBS Reidmar but after Mark taking time and patience and letting me try a WHOLE load of stuff, I ended up being totally and unexpectedly blown away by the Streamliner and the Shuttle 9.2. Just astonishingly wonderful sounding amps. Like Shep, being an EBS devotee up to this point, I've now got Streamlinerlust(TM). T

11.
Why is this still here? This is an insane price. Probaly because of the "Watts/Loudness" discussion that has spilled over from TalkBass. I did an afternoon of A/B ing with my RH450 / LMII and SA450, and IMHO it is louder than the MarkBass heads. It's a shame that people can't take a product for what it is without getting caught up in the crap that is spouted sometimes. Good Luck with the sale.
Thanks for the bump You're right, it's a great amp and really loud beyond it's rating. Love it but want a sonic change. T
12. Just got back from Bass Direct where I played this and a Shuttle 9.2. It's a truly astonishing amp. Seriously considering..... T
13. PRICE DROP bumping
14. Bumping a price drop. Now looking for £320 delivered. Superb condition with TC gigbag into the bargain.
15.
I have the RH450 version of this. Same amp basically. Same sounds. Buy this at this price somebody. You won't regret it. Possibly THE best bass amp this TC Electronic range thing.
Cheers buddy

18. Howdy All, NOW SOLD! Up for sale is my TC Electronic Classic 450 head. I've had it less than a year and brought it on BC as my first lightweight head after getting rid of an EBS rig. It's a fantastic sounding head, incredibly powerful and amazingly flexible. It's been a pleasure to use live but I really miss the tone of the EBS head and cabs as I'd used the gear for the best part of 10 years and I miss it. The Classic 450 is in great nick apart from a couple of cosmetic on the case and a scuff mark on the back (pictured). TBH, nothing untoward from an amp at least a couple of years old and having been out the bedroom It comes with the TC Electronics gigbag which again is in great condition. I'm asking £320 (PRICE DROPPED!!) including UK delivery. Only trades at present would be an EBS HD350 or a EBS Proline (or NEO) 410 (plus obvious cash adjustment). Cheers T
19. Having used the same rig for the best part of 10 years and sold it to go lightweight, I now realised I had it and let it go My EBS HD350 + Proline 410 + Proline 115 sounded absolutely effin huge and was just so cultured. The TC Electronics Classic 450 + RS210 + RS212 that replaced has absolutely nothing wrong with it APART from it's not the EBS kit. It's lightweight, loud, sounds great but it's only problem is that it doesn't have the EBS tone. Like everything, it's personal preference. Like preferring a Precision over a Jazz. Each to their own. Operation "I want it back" is underway.
20. If this post was a fretless, I'd have it.....
21. If this post had one more string, I'd have it...
22. I did a Bitsa P that ended up a PJ. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/96658-non-sparkle-precision-project/ Got the body, neck, bridge, scratchplate and bits off eBay from CH Guitars. Really good quality for not a lot of cash. Tuners, pickup and other bits I got off here. I went with EMGs as a lot of my other basses have those. Cost? It's relatively cheap when you consider you're getting everything that you want to your spec. Mine cost me around £350 ish, maybe a bit more. The labour is where it comes in expensive if you were to cost the project properly. There was A LOT of hours on the paintwork, sanding and putting together. If I was being hyper critical, all in all, not my best sounding and playing bass but something that more than holds it's own and has given me a lot of pleasure and satisfaction putting together. T
