1.
She's asking for a zip code? Isn't that a tad American for the highlands?
2. Would it be hard to wire this for a Thumb BO? Ie. currently with a 2 band EQ
3. Cheers Kev. Yeah it certainly would be a decent pedal for an FX newbie!
4. Hey guys looking to push my Zoom 506ii multi effects pedal on, since I got my Boss pedal from Mr Foxen this has become obsolete. No photos as of yet but heres a link showing the model & outlining it a bit. http://www.zzounds.com/item--ZOM506II It's a great little pedal to mess around with, has a few memory banks & the patches can be customised easily. Also has a tuner function. This pedal is discontinued now so would be hard to find, mine has not been used much & has not been thrown in to cases etc as you might expect. I've always kept it in the original box when not in use. Looking for just £15 plus p&p. Sorry for the slightly crappy ad, wanted to get this on before it slipped my mind as it has been since I got my Boss. I'll try & get some photos up tonight or tomo. Tbh if you're looking for something top notch for multi effects then this ain't it, but as said if you just want something easily useable that's a bit of fun then this is gonna be right up your street. Cheers guys Joe
5. Questionable vintage Fenders seem to keep popping up on Gumtree, it would be cool if they all turned out to be llegit.
6. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Warwick-Thumb-Bolt-o...id=p3286.c0.m14 Pricey for a used Thumb at this time. Good luck to 'em though!
7. When I was considering a Lakland I did a fair bit of research, seemed to suggest that every now & again there was a dudd that left the factory in between most of the high quality instruments, however this seemed mainly for Skylines. Anyway yeah as said above you could contact them direct. They are known to respond pretty fast.
8. Yeah I purchased this back in May or so when I picked up the bass again. I found after a 2 year gap I could hardly remember anything so was on the look out for something to help me back in. Was hesitant at first as thought it could be a scam/a loaf of sh*te. But anyways I decided to go for it, started doing it & found it useful for a few things. I then lost the time to be able to sit down & read through 100 page PDF documents lol so I didn't get very far with it. If I do get a spare day to myself though I will sit down & work through. As I said it is useful & does include a few good ideas. The free software bundle that comes with it also includes some decent little programs. I haven't of course seen the end result but if it's like the guy playing in the video then it's surely worth it! So if you've got the time to sit down in front of the computer with your bass & grind through it then yeah I recommend it.
9. Is Marcus' point perhaps more that it is expected to be an excellent bass if Flea is going to put his name on it?
10.
I want to take the pick guard off of my Squire jazz. Would that be ok or would it hurt the instrument?
What do you mean? If you are going to unscrew it with a screwdriver then no. If trying to jack it up with something like a chisel then yes!
11. Saw this in the window of a local music shop & wondered what is was about. Seems an excellent idea for some, bad idea for others. Eg. I may end up getting a USA jazz much earlier than I intended.
12.
No I have just got a Dano with an artist discount and an Ampeg.
Ah right. Spent a lot then?
13. I did Rock School Grade 5 a few years ago. Might be worth checking out?? Was fun as well.
14.
My new bass has nearly cost me my missus so thats pretty cheap.
Wasn't it £10??
15. Go in to a decent shop & tell them you are starting out. Obviously as you would be buying various kit they should be happy to knock some off so there are some deals to be had out there.
16. Hey mate welcome. Would love to see some pics of the Sandbergs!!
17. I'd like something of a jazz bass variety with a very smooth maple neck with black block inlays & binding. Also thinking a white body & black hardware with say I dunno some Nordstrand jazz pups. Would have to map it out on paint or something first though just to make sure the maple with all the black would go together lol.
18.
That’s cool man, obviously each to their own, but realistically you can’t really compare this to a Rockbass. The biggest difference (and one which is fundimental to the way it feels and plays) is the neck; there’s no way you can compare the neck on this Streamer Standard to the Rockbass necks. The neck on that is exactly the same as the ones on the 5 string Streamer LX (approx £1100) or the Streamer Jazzman (approx £1300) bolt on basses. It’s Rockbass money, but it aint a Rockbass, doesn’t feel/sound like a Rockbass either, but I guess “you pays your money, you takes your choice” etc… EDIT FOR TYPO...I'M USELESS!
Sorry Ben I didn't mean to sound snappy lol. Point taken, I was getting more at the look of the instrument though. Could hardly comment on the instrument itself as I've never played this model. I'm not slating Warwick either having owned a Rockbass & now a Thumb, always been fond of the things lol.
19.
I'm happy to trade but dont want another bass with a chubby neck as I have smallish hands. I was going to buy a Squier Anyone have an opinion on the Warwick neck dimensions? Other minor issue is the swapper lives in Essex and I only go there occasionally but thats not insoluble.
http://www.warwickrockbass.com/rbspecs.pdf Hope that helps mate ^ Regarding your hands I'm willing to bet they are bigger than mine & I got on fine with my streamer.
20.
They are? Through personal experience I know this to be a very poor judgement.
Alright then mate well that's through your personal experience, obviously mine is different from yours.
21.
However, its not made in China and has higher spec than a Rockbass (wenge etc) so seems a very good price to me - I just don't want 5 strings!
Sorry I mean't they are seen as Rockbasses tbh.
22. Seen those go cheap on Ebay before. Don't know if its the fact that they are basically Rockbasses.
23. Couldn't you have just pasted the link?
