really nice..... dont do it!!!
Cheers mate. I wouldn't trade this on a whim! & only for another 'wick that I feel would be as good.
It was indeed mid 90's when Warwick changed factory location...
Thanks for that WH. So in a nutshell based on what I'm after I'd be wanting to look at mid 90's or earlier, but would be best to try first.

Hmm reading through this makes me think maybe I should bother contacting them again regarding the EB-150 I bought about 8 years ago which has cut out ever since I bought it. It's been off to them twice & to a tech down here once. No one has actually fixed it though.

I had one of these beauties, the same as the OP's but 5 string. Also got a nice amount for it on Ebay when it came to moving it on. The output is very low & it is passive. With the controls it works just like a passive jazz bass with a volume control for each pickup & then one tone control. The easiest option to improve the sound would be to try an effects pedal, I found a Digitech compressor pedal worked pretty well.
This is the eternal dilemma music shops face. We often get kids wanting to try out expensive Gibsons etc, obviously because they want to know what the fuss is about and can also tell their mates they've tried one out. But does the shop risk a black finish Custom getting marked just to satisfy someone's curiosity?
I thought the reason GAK in Brighton is so successful is because kids get to try instruments as they like, then go back & buy years later when they've got a bit older & have the money.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as the OP here. My budget is rock bottom though & to be honest I'm not after anything fancy, just want some thing to record roughly with & then send off via email. I'm currently using my phone to record from the amp! What are peoples opinions on this little thing found on Ebay therefore?
Thanks Unfortunate as it is, I've got no choice but to go for a straight sale. Fingers crossed that it sells soon
I had to sell my Sadowsky recently due to cash problems so I feel your pain, I got about 4 months with it though as opposed to a few days... Hope you sort out whatever's going on soon.

Messaged about an instrument cable late afternoon on Friday, it arrived today. Really good quality & excellent service. Cheers
