  1. I’ve got one in Wokingham, Berkshire. Close enough? Original pre, new Jensen DI.
  2. And .... it's gone to a new home! Nice to meet you earlier, @prowla
  3. This came with a bass I bought from Basschat which I later sold but the buyer sent down his own hard case for the shipping. Free for local pickup in Wokingham, Berkshire.
  4. Just bought Dan's Origin Effects Bassrig Super Vintage. Great comms, special delivery and good packaging. All in all, a great experience and I'm dead pleased with the pedal too!
  5. Sold an MX81 pre pedal to Andy and the whole thing was very smooth and quick from start to finish. No hesitation in recommending him!
  6. For the last couple of gigs I’ve run a much simpler chain. Cali76 CB into my Noble out to both the desk and straight into the effects return on the WB-100. Glorious tone.
  7. Apologies all who've PMed me but I've had a change of heart and decided to withdraw the Thumpinator. I've checked the shelving on the Thumpinator and the Noble's HPF and the Thumpinator really just targets those low infrasonic frequencies with a steep shelf (36Db/octave under 25Hz) whilst the HPF on the Noble does a more gentle 6dB/octave but starts higher at 90Hz. I think there is good reason to retain it in the chain and keep my 2xBB2s under control and working a little less.
  8. sfx Microthumpinator, amazing little high pass filter or bandwidth optimiser, that removed all of the subsonic frequencies. I had a gig where my cab was making some nasty noises, so my research took me to this little thing. It is hard to say what it does except clean up a lot of aural anomalies and give your amp and cab much less to do. Suddenly the sounds clears up and your amp is louder when the volume dial is lower as they're not working so hard to make sounds you can't (or don't want) to hear. There is a video on the sfx site (who now have a shallower v2 of the pedal). It does a good job of describing what this will do for you. Also check the forums as there are a number of devotees. http://www.sfxsound.com/microThumpinator/ This thing is tiny with no controls, so I had it underneath my Pedaltrain Nano+ board for ages. The only reason it has come out is that I now has a Noble pre and that has an HPF built into it. As does my Berg Forte HP amp. So having three in the chain seemed overkill! £85 for local pick up, ad a fiver for delivery.
  9. MXR M81 Bass Preamp pedal Great pedal for adding some tone shaping and a bit of sparkle. Great clean boost and quality DI signal. Lost its place on the pedalboard to a Noble pre, which is hardly a fair fight. Bought from new, still in vgc and comes boxed, with manual and quickstart guide. Has velcro on the bottom. £100 for local pick up, add a fiver for delivery.
  10. Korg Pitchblack Polyphonic Tuner. Great tuner, only selling as I replaced with the Advanced. Works for guitar as well as bass, can do alternate tunings, US pitch etc. Pure bypass, can run off 9v or standard DC. Has a DC out for daisychaining power. A few signs of use and has velcro on the bottom. £40 for local pick up, add a fiver for delivery.
  11. Digitech Drop polyphonic drop tune pedal. I used this successfully to handle drop tunings before eventually biting the bullet and getting my first 5 string bass. It has true bypass, the selector goes down in semitones up to a full octave, and has a selector switch to change mode between toggle and momentary. Missing the charger. The pedal doesn't have velcro on the back. Full specs on here: https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/digitech-drop-polyphonic-drop-tune-pedal £90 for local pick up, add a fiver for delivery.
  12. Hah - I missed this - sorry. It is still here if you're interested. I'm buying a new Soundcraft mixer so need to quickly raise some funds!
  13. I'm surprised this is still here. These are amazing amps with a range of different firmware downloads to give great flexibility to tune your clean, driven or fuzz tones. The inbuilt high pass filter, low pass filter, compressor, intelligent drive, usable punch and bright. Just a great sounding, punchy amp that will make you question how much of a pedalboard do you actually need. The Di is very high quality too. Sounds great through a PA. If you have Barefaced cabs then they will absolutely devour the power these amps put out. I have a pair of BB2s and for most gigs I now just use the 8ohm into the top one and the other is no more than a glorified stand. I picked my Forte HP amp up second hand on here (for a higher price!) and then paid full whack for a new gig bag before picking up this footswitch from Marc, and I'm still a very happy punter as it is that good. At this price it is an absolute steal, so don't let it hang around!
