16. this what the seller said about weight and dimensions: "The cab is approx 77 x 58 x 115cm and weighs according to a bit of gaffa on the front about 100Kg's. "
17. Probably not one for Ped, or the anyone from the bad back brigade...in fact you'd probably need a team of roadies to lift the damn thing, but if you need a serious gig rig could be worth a punt... Mesa 2x18" Cheers Stu
18. About to go into the studio with my new band - really excited We've been practicing weekly for a couple of months, so starting to know the songs and want a few songs to burn CD's or put on our myspace page, mainly to help us get gigs. We also have a lead with local radio station who might offer us a session if it sounds o.k. Never done this before (only amateur recordings with one mic in middle of room ) so would appreciate any advice about what to expect and how to go about it. We'll have an engineer and so he can guide us, but whether to record live with whole band, how many tracks we're likely to get sorted in the two days we have booked...etc. etc. I have no idea Thanks in advance Stu
19. Bump for price reduction

21.
The moral of this story is obviously dump the mac and get a PC
...but only after you've read the horror-stories about Vista drivers!!!
22. Warning!!! - at least two of the manufacturers of these computer interfaces are having significant problems with Mac firewire interface drivers (I'm not a techie) Looks like Mackie Onyx is screwed beyond OSX 10.4.10 (and has been for about 1 year!) and TC (see manufacturer forum for details) also has problems with Leopard upgrade compatibility with drivers. (also appears the Gibson sale fell flat) Lesson for me, software drivers are at least as important as the hardware as otherwise the hardware won't work!
