1.
How are you finding the Darkglass bud? I see its replaced the Mesa? I hav just bought a Berg CN212, look forward to giving it a blast with the DG in rehearsal tomorrow
Those cabs are lovely mate, should be a killer combo. Honestly it took some time before i started to click with this, really disappointing on its first use, couldn't dial anything in i liked anywhere near as much as the Mesa and the B7K together. Still not really finding it to great with my P's but after some time with it and with the Dingwalls oh god yes its good, two shows in and a few rehearsals now and i get it, its great it really is, and loud, really really loud! I actually think the Mesa for me is a better amp but i'm getting some great tones now and the convenience of no pedal board is what i was after. Oh yeah did i mention its loud!?! Doing my fist big stage with it Saturday at Birmingham O2 so will finally get to open it up properly.
2. £780 As the Maruszczyk i have up for sale isn't getting much love on here i'm putting up my very nice Fender P, something needs to go so we will see what sells first. This is a 2014 model which i bought new last year, it has what i would call a few minor signs of use, all off which will be pictured and detailed below. I replaced the guts with one of Ki0gons superb kits which allows for easy solderless changing of pickups and i replaced the stock pickup with a Delano PMVC 4FE/M2 which is awesome, the bass sounds and plays brilliantly and as we all know Black and Maple P basses are just damn sexy. I also replaced the white Pickguard with a black Fender one, i will include the original pickguard with this, it obviously comes with a nice Fender hard case too plus all the tools and bits (strap, cable etc..) that came with it. As far as marks and things to mention... There is some very minor swirling on the pickguard and some very light scuffing on the back as you would expect from a bass thats been played none of which i can get to show in a picture, I always take my belt buckle off when playing so there really isn't much marking on the back anyway. There is a tiny little ding just above the Pickguard, its just a dent and doesnt go through the finish/show any wood, its tiny but here it is. There is some minor scuffing by on the top, similar to buckle rash probably from a button on a sleeve or something, its really minor and only shows in certain light couldn't get it to show in a picture but here it is... There is a tiny little bubble or something in the finish between the pickup and bridge, its been there since the day i got it so guess this was done during finishing, again only noticeable in certain light and the size of a head of a small screw, its pretty flat but it is there, i couldn't get it to show properly in a picture its so small but here's that spot anyway (to the right of my finger in both pictures. Look at the reflection of the A string in the second picture, it slightly distorts, thats it...) And finally there is a slight colour variation on the fingerboard, again there since the day i got it, it seems a couple of the frets have a slightly lighter tint to the maple, looks like its faded, no idea what caused it, the finish is perfectly intact, it doesnt bother me as its not a huge variation but you can see it in this picture, otherwise the neck, board and headstock are flawless. Price includes shipping to the UK Ideally looking for a sale but trades are not our of the question, ideal would be a Matt Freeman P in the same finish as this with cash my way but other 4 strings may be of interest but more likely wanting cash.
3. I had Tom build this as i loved my Tech 21 XXL but hated the bottom end loss, this thing made that pedal very special. This has clean level, loop level, phase switch, bass and treble controls on the loop (dirty) side and the awesome low pass filter from the clean blend of the TK-421 which allows for anything from just extreme lows to be blended with the dirty side right up to fully clean, it really makes this thing and was the reason i had Tom make this as that blend on the TK-421 is really cool and leaves the distortion sound as it should but with some massive bottom end. Anyway i'm now not using pedals and i don't anticipate going back so really should let this go. Price includes shipping
4. Recently replaced the pickups and guts in my 2014 AM Standard P so have the original CS shop Pickups and guts from that bass spare. Would be a good upgrade for certain P's, the pickups are lovely and all solder is intact so apart from re attaching the earth wire from your bridge these will drop right in. Please note you will need your own earth wire from the bridge as mentioned, also pickup foam or some pickup tubing and knobs. Price includes shipping.
5. Price down to £650 shipped
6. Thanks Conan! Another price drop bump....
7.
Found a cracking little case (by skeleton case) for those on the lookout for something suitable. It has pick foam innards and seems fairly heavy duty. Not bad for £45.
Cheers for the heads up on this, just got one and it works a treat.
8. And Sold!
9. Probably priced this a bit on high side, knocking a little off the asking...
10. £650 Well i never thought i'd do this as i love this thing but i'm selling my Mesa, this is by a mile the best class D i've owned and probably just my favorite amp i've owned but i'm relying so heavily on a B7K to get the tone i'm using with the band it makes sense to just get a Darkglass amp and be done with it, i hope i don't regret this! Anyway this is 6 months old, in great condition, never had any issues with it, still have the box and obviously it comes with the mesa bag which is really nice. No trades on this as i need cash for the new amp, the price does include next day delivery to anywhere in the UK.
11. Got a Microtubes 900 incoming so going to move this on, you know how good these are i'm sure and also how much the bloody things cost now! This one is a little under 8 months old i believe, still have the box and the pedals in great condition. Price includes shipping in the UK. Il get some pics up shortly.
12. £720 This is a 32 Scale Jake with Delano PMVC 4 FE and MC 4FE pickups and an active 2 band Delano EQ, push pull Active/passive with the treble pot doubling as a tone control in passive mode. Zero fret as standard on these and the optional matched headstock. Anything else you need to know about the bass just message me. The bass is under a month old as the certificate can prove, its been played at home only in that time still has all the documentation, gigbag and strap it came with, the bass is in perfect condition, not a mark anywhere so its basically a brand new Jake without the wait (which granted isn't to long with Adrian) I will ship mainland UK included in the price. 4 string trades may be considered but still prefer sale,
13.
Not a black body, but this is mine with the yellowish tint: I think it would look great on a black bass!
Thats lovely mate! Thanks.
14. These are pretty good aren't they! Received my 32" Scale Jake on Friday. Had a couple of days to get to know her and yeah they have nailed it, exactly the bass i was hoping for. So impressed I've been talking to Adrian all morning and i'm just about to order a second one, another Jake similar to this one, black and maple but 33" scale this time, still tuned BEAD, thinking 3+1 non matching headstock, different bridge maybe. Thinking about maybe having the board and neck with a slight vintage tint this time but a little worried it might be a little to yellow or dark for my taste, anyone got one of Adrian's basses with a vintage tint maple neck? I'd love to see some, particularly with a black body?
15. Digital bathroom scale test is saying 3.9kg. Well the ive read specs saying its Satin but il be honest its not as satin as my other basses, it has a slightly glossy look, no way high gloss and certainly not sticky (I tend to stick to glossy necks quite badly)
16. Slight price drop
17. Yeah Newtones, so far they've been great whenever I've used them on my 34" and 37" scales and currently have a heavy core set being made for 30" project bass I'm working on as well as the ones for this 32". They've never been anything other than exceptional. I used to use kaliums but the customer service is shockingly bad and now the price is just way to much. I've not even received this thing and I'm already plotting a multi scale build....
18.
Very cool! How's the low B with the 32" scale? Eude
Thanks, i'm really pleased with how this has come out. I'l have to let you know on the B in a few days hopefully when its delivered, i've got some custom strings being made for it so we will see.
19. £450 Letting my Sandberg VS4 go as i have a new bass incoming so need to make room. This is one of the best P style bass ive owned, plays great and sounds equally great, these are the Sandberg 'budget' range but they are in my opinion incredible value for money. They're assembled and set up in the same factory the more expensive models are so as you would expect its a very well put together bass. Some specs...

Neck: 6 x bolted / canadian hardrock maple
Fretboard: 22 frets
Scale: 864 mm / 34"
Body: basswood
Finish: black
Hardware: chrome hardware / sandberg bridge
Pickup: 1 sandberg designed split coil
Preamp: sandberg designed 2-band, active / passive
Zero Fret
This one is 2 months old (bought new) and is in very good condition. I'l chuck in a Sandberg gig bag with this (these dont come with a case) and UK shipping is included in the price.
20. Well this was a nice surprise, only ordered this about 7 weeks ago and was told 12 to 15 weeks. Jake 32" Scale, active with Delano pickups and set up in B-E-A-D.
21. I bought this from Bass Direct not long a go but didnt end up needing it, think these are £20 plus shipping so was thinking £12 posted.
