Kev's Feedback

Just sold a Cali76 to Kev, a pleasure to deal with. Cheers Mate!
2. Mine has just arrived. First thoughts, its so small! Sounds great, super clean, the taste control adds some nice character, really nice EQ points but I reckon as people have said I could live with just the taste control and my god its loud! Im at home so cant go nuts but I gave it a quick crank and there is plenty there. Got my second Berg HD112 today as well and the Tecamp with a pair of those is lovely! Edit - Had my first night in the studio with the Puma 900. Really impressive amp, very clean at high volumes and it kept up with the guys just fine and they are loud to put it mildly. The EQ is very powerful and I'm very into the chosen frequencies. With the two Berg HD112's (first time I used them too) the whole set up sounded great, a ton of depth and volume, couldn't be happier, definitely recommend.
3. Another price drop as ive just thrown this on Ebay and I would rather it goes on here than deal with people on there...
4. Up on Ebay now so price drop hoping it goes on here...
5. Bump, just in case anyone is interested..
6.
Haha, I saw the pre edited earlier post I'm so tempted its painful
Ha! Its been a difficult time! If its as good as the standard Cali and with the extra features this should be rather special, had to try one.
7. [s]£200 Shipped [/s]**Sold** Well i never thought id do this but im sticking my Cali up for sale, its the standard version, less than 6 months old, perfect except Velcro on bottom. Still got the box and instructions. Cant remember what I paid now but it was from new. Now discontinued it seems, got to make it more desirable surely
8.
please do a side-by-side shoot-out first!!!!
I should do before I let mine go, I have a feeling the sidechain HPF is going to be a rad addition, that was the clincher for me.
9. After several minutes arguing with myself I just ordered one, might have a standard Cali76 going if anyone wants one....
10.
Available to order! Do I go for it, or wait to see what Darkglass come up with? Agonising decision!
Ha! Yeah I know how you feel, I cant imagine anything will knock the full size Cali off my board but I'm definitely going to give the Darkglass a go, very tempted to give this a whirl too! Edit - Actually after a bit of reading on the Origin site there is a very strong chance this could knock my Cali off the board, it sounds superb. Hmmm.....
11. Just ordered a Puma 900 from Bass Direct, should be here next week. I'm sure you will get plenty of opinions on here before then but il let you know thoughts when it arrives. Heard nothing but great things about them.
12. £900 This one is the limited edition white one, its in very good condition considering the colour as is its been flight cased and looked after very well, there is a couple of little nicks in the Tolex (pictured) but they are very small. I had all 7 valves replaced at the end of last year and a full service, it is immaculate inside and no need to get them replaced anytime soon. These are not the lightest of amps but the flight case has a couple of wheels which is frankly a bit of a life saver with this thing. Collection is fine obviously but i will ship this at your cost, ive looked into that and it comes in at a fairly reasonable £30 with UPS next day. Im happy to arrange this, the flight case should keep it nice and safe. Il throw in a good quality speaker lead with this too. Cheers
13. Sold Not sure i this will appeal to anyone but thought it worth listing as it just isn't getting any attention from me any more. This was a recent project I put together with the help of Mike from Iceni/Zoot, it really is quite lovely and the work Mike done was excellent but i'm now only really playing 5's so thats why i'm selling. So this is what it is... The body is a Fender Jazz body (Mexican) bought from new about 10 months ago The neck is custom made by Mike at Iceni/Zoot and was finished 4 months ago, its maple with a Wenge blocked and bound board. Tuners are Hipshot HB7's bought new about 6 months ago Bridge is Hipshot A style Bridge Chrome/Brass bought around 9 months ago new. Pickups are a pair of Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders bought new around 9 months ago. Custom Iceni Pick Guard CTS Pots and Orange Drop Cap High Quality Jack Input Schaller Strap Locks I think its a Stunner it plays great and sounds massive, the Wenge board sounds and looks killer. The neck is somewhere between a Jazz and a P, its 40mm at the nut so slightly wider than a Jazz but not as wide as a P and is slightly chunkier throughout than a Jazz neck, its actually 34.5 inch scale as well. Comes with a standard (cheap) Fender soft case and a fresh set of strings plus a brand new spare set (minus the A, don't ask...) As i said no idea if this is going to be of interest to anyone but thought i would see, i don't particularly want to sell it but i have to much money tied up in it to just leave in a cupboard at home. Il ship this (cost to be agreed) and im happy for anyone to come over and give this a try.
14. £250 Think I'm going to let my wireless go, it's the pedal board mounted one with the tuner, il get some pics up later or tomorrow. The receiver is perfect but does have Velcro on the bottom and the transmitter pack is fine but the little rubber cap that covers the recharge socket has come of, I still have it however. I have the box, charger and the power supply and everything that came in the box. It's 5 months old at most, these cost £350 new so I'm thinking £250 plus shipping could be a good deal?
15. Newest version, only a few months old and still boxed. Turns out i'm one of those weird people who prefers the B3K so am letting this go. Price includes shipping.
16. Sold some patch cables to Micheal, great guy to deal with, cheers!
17.
any more feedback now you've had it a while? particularly interested in the COG chorus
I love it Gaz. The delay is just instantly great, all the control you could need really. The Chorus has taken some playing around with, it sounded great strait out the box but there is so much control and so many things to tweak that i'm only really getting to know it now. But its pretty much impossible to make it sound bad.
18. I got my Classic Junior a couple of weeks back, its really nice. The open back and increased height are quite handy and the new Tour Case is a really cool thing.
19. I thought i would see if any of these could be of use to anyone. First up i have a set of Kalium (CircleK) strings, these are balanced tension for Dingwall Scale and about 39 pounds per string. I bought these as i wanted to try a slightly lighter gauge than the standard Dingwall sets, i had them on for 15 minutes and decided to stick with the Dingwalls on that bass. They are basically new and unused. Gauges are 124 - 94 - 73 - 55 - 41 so only a little lighter than normal. £20 posted Next a set of Dingwall stainless steels, these have had a few hours playing over the last week or 2 while i decided if i preferred the nickels or the Steels on that bass, still sound great but just a note i did cut the B string very close to being too short, its fine and still goes on but it doesnt have a lot to wrap round the post, i had it on for a week no problems but thought i should mention it. £12 posted Another set of Dingwall strings, this time Nickels. These came fresh on my new NG2 and had about a week of playing (at home no gigs or rehearsals), still in great shape. £15 posted [s]Newtone Strings - Nickel with round cores. Had these made for a one off gig where i needed some really light strings. The gauges are 120 - 90 - 67 - 51 - 37 Im not sure if they will be much use to anyone but if you happen to tune a Dingwall up a semitone to C standard these are perfect for that, of if you happen to like super light strings. I also have a Newtone 118 to fit the B string on a dingwall il chuck in with these.[/s] [s]£10 posted[/s] Sold Also i have about 10-12 random Kalium strings all in good shape, if anyone wants them il chuck them in with any set you buy, im not certain what gauges they are so i dont want to charge for them but they are in to good shape to bin. Il do everything i have left listed here plus the free bits for £35 posted if anyone just wants the lot. Heres the sets listed... (the nickels are a 5 string set despite being in a 6 string pack) And here's the freebies, theres 12 random strings there (10 Kalium i think) i would guess there is 4 G's 3 D's 2 A's 1 E and 2 B's?? no idea what gauges, i get through a lot of strings and have tried a lot of Kalium Gauges. The two big ones (158 and 166) are not pictured but they look like strings, just really big ones...
20. Just finished putting the new board together after moving on a few bit i just wasn't using enough. Really happy with this now, just need to fill the Harmonic Booster sized space top left so i have a bit of room EQ and DI for FOH.
