1. Thanks guys, it is lovely. Would love to keep this but sadly has to go.
2. [s]£620 - Shipped[/s] SOLD Selling this lovely Spector Rebop. I picked it up in a trade last week with another BC'er and despite it looking and sounding gorgeous i really did need to get some money in so am not going to be able to keep it. This is a 2007/08 i believe, it has the Tonepump pre with the internal trim pot which is great and has a set of Nordstrand pickups in it, it sound absolutely massive! Condition is what i would call very good, some typical play wear on the back, nothing to bad and plays really nicely. This comes with soft case and a fairly new set of DR's on it. £620 shipped or happy for this to be collected and we can call it £600. Cheers
3. Lets say £150 rather than £160.
4. Hi Si, Not this time, just picked up a 7K off a mate so need to cover some of that cost with this sale. Thanks anyway!
5. £150 shipped Letting this go, its the latest updated version, made in Finland. Got this new from Bass Direct 2 or 3 months ago, still got the box and bits. Velcro on the bottom. Cheers.
6.
I recently got a B3K which I like, but I would like more distortion.I think that fuzz maybe too much so was interested in the TK-421-X. Do any of you TK owners have an opinion on the TK vs. B3K, is it worth considering or should I look more at fuzz? Does anyone have a sound clip/demo of the TK? Thanks Verb
I've recently got a TK-421-X and i love it, gets super dirty and the blend on it is killer. I actually use a B3K as my main slightly gritty tone and kick the TK in for all out filth on some parts, they compliment each other very well. I had been struggling to find a dirtier distortion that could hold its own when switching between the Darkglass and the first thing i found that could after trying a hell of a lot was a knightfall 66 (which is just ridiculously good too) but the TK just nailed it, never been happier with my sound as i have been since using the darkglass/Cog combination.
7. Just got one of these or i would have had this. Stunning pedal well worth the money!
8. Just sold my Empress Comp to Chris. Good communication, drove from London to pick it up from me within 2 hours of agreeing the deal. Great guy to deal with.
9. Empress sold pending usual.
10. Dropping this to £155 posted.
11. Knightfall has found a new home, the Empress is still available.
12. Normal output mate, Parallel one is unaffected so your amp will not get the benefits of the pedal if you use that. With regards to not using the amps DI, im a live engineer for a living and i always prefer to use a separate DI or a good quality pedal with a DI out before an amp, its mainly a fail safe, if the amp goes down mid show ive still got the bass in FOH, usually il chuck a mic on the cab to get some of the character of the amp coming through too, unless its a very small room. Asking you not to use your amp at all is a bit odd though, i wouldn't like that.
13. [s]Empress Compressor - £155[/s] - Sold Awesome Compressor! This ones a few months old, immaculate condition, includes box with everything in it. Been very well looked after, i love this thing but ive just got a Cali76 in and despite thinking id never let this go i now have to. [s]Cog Knightfall 66 - £135[/s] - Sold Fantastic two channel distortion, 5 internal clipping options per channel, clean blend. In good condition and all works perfectly. Bought this from here not long ago, loved it so much i immediately ordered a TK-421-X to go with it and now im finding i mainly use that so best let this go to a good home. This sold for £135 the last couple of times on here i believe so am asking the same, posted. Both have Velcro attached. Sale only please although i do need a Fromel Etched Wonderlove so might be up for a trade involving one of them. Cheers
14. Knocking a little more off the price...
15. You don't see a Pwnzor often, that wont hang around long!
16. Great price! They are still up for £177 on there, thats only £22 more than the MXR in most places.
17.
If you can afford it, this is the one to go for. The MXR is good, but the Empress is better.
+1 The Empress is a great comp. ive had both that and the MXR and they are both very nice units, the Empress is a little more transparent and the has a couple of nice features the MXR doesn't, those being a 2:1 ratio which is i find great for always on use and the parallel compression feature which allows you to dial in some of your clean tone. I found the Empress to be worth the extra money but the MXR is still great and they both have metering to which nice. I recently got to try a Cali76 and that is just ludicrously good but again not cheap and its frigging huge! Ive just ordered one and i expect it to knock my Empress off the board when i try them side by side (which i never thought would happen!). The empress is wonderfully versatile but if i had one complaint it may be a little clinical, the Cali was transparent but warm and rich, hard to put into words really. This is worth a look, this guy knows his comps and has tons of reviews here... http://www.ovnilab.com/
