  1. In fairness I made the original accusation. I saw IIRC a John Burns version with all the edges smoothed out at a guitar show in Brum years ago and it looked gorgeous.

  3. Surely the former four legged chair?
  4. And the now standard different coloured control knobs. This for me is new territory.
  5. I also have a morbid curiosity and watched a bit of it and you're right, a truly tragic spectacle, I doubt they're even in the mix.
  6. Fragile cos its the first one i heard. The Yes Album if I'd heard that first.
  7. Did you know that the fair folk of Madeira claim the invention of?
  8. I wanted to be a drummer until I was introduced to a gatefold Fragile featuring this pic. Awesome player, cool guy and a Revox B77. Game over.
  9. Conversely Geddy Lee has never written or played a bad note. His best work was obviously done on a Fender 😂
  10. A relationship built on deceit and alcohol, have you been together a while?
  11. R2 are annoying their listeners with it too.
  12. I have a Euro LX-TW. Defo gonna tweak that trim pot later.
  13. You forgot fingers; it's all in the fingers!😁😉
  14. I still have the NS2000 I bought in '99 - great bass. I bought another one in '05 and the body was around 5mm deeper and subsequently heavier.
  15. Personally I think like lots of bands they just ran out of creative steam. As for U2, as long as the juggernaut keeps filling stadiums they'll keep on releasing dross which doesn't have to be the case; Genesis proved that with their tour in 2007.
  16. I love their output between Document and Automatic For the People, even Monster and Up were good. I recently browsed the rest of their albums and was shocked at how awful they were. They probably hung around at least ten years too long.
  17. That's gorgeous and I'm a sucker for bass bins.
  18. Poor old Stub, the victim of a major thread hijack. Good job Talkbass aren't obsessed with their own agendas...
  19. I like the early stuff and All The World... and Exit... are great representations of that stuff. My favourite would be Signals even with the mushy sound, IMO anything after that was $h1te, not helped by the weedy Wal/Steinburger tone.
