That show was a real tv gold nugget to a wannabee musician. I remember Ian Paice on it and John Taylor fluffing a demo of Planet Earth.

I live in Gosport which is quite a few miles away across the Solent from the festival and I was staggered at either how well the bass travelled or how loud it must have been in the first place.

Possibly my most hated bass sound BUT it works perfectly for Tull. They were firstly a great band, and a band with IMO three 'classic' line ups. The interview on the repackaged Thick as a Brick featuring Anderson, Barre and Jeffery Hammond is well worth a listen.

The more I consider this the angrier I get. At what point did the BGM team sit down and decide they were going to run this interview and deliberately mug the readers off with a recent front page picture?
