1.
This should be entitled "People still discussing relic'd/Road worn instruments - really?"
Fair point. On the other hand Macca...
 2. I'd also recommend Relayer - his contribution on The Gates of Delirium is awesome. Fragile (of course) and Fish Out of Water. RIP Chris.
 3.
Loved the ELO set but was all of this live ? It sounded just a bit too perfect..I had the impression that I heard far more voices than there were (and other instruments too). Bit weird because I couldn't see any clicktrack for the drummer. Jeff's voice was also so full as if it was doubled. Great performance though, Turn to stone and Mr Blue Sky, shivers down my spine.. Who was the backing singer ? Had the feeling I had seen him before (reminded me of a character in The League of Gentlemen :-))
I was a bit suspicious about Jeff's perfect vocals too - ELO were never strangers to aural enhancements in live shows.
 4.
Kind of enjoyed E.L.O altho as bland as hell. Not my thing but he has a few hits and it is good he is still playing them for people who like that stuff
My thoughts exactly. The Hyde Park gig was brilliant but I don't know why - this left me cold. Jeff looked like he didn't want to be there.
 5. Kiss, possibly the biggest talent vacuum ever.
 6.
I've read several conflicting stories about the 'signature' Stingray Flea bass. I've read he wanted to change the model name from Stingray to Flea bass. I've read he just wanted a Stingray Flea bass edition. I've read he wanted a Stingray with carbon fibre neck. Etc etc. Money talks.
Imagine how many Mark King basses there would be?
 7.
What is that ratio as a number?
8.

Fantastic! Where would you recommend I start with Steve's back catalogue?
 9. Hmmm, they let him do that utterly unnecessary and disrespectful guitar solo at the end just like the Revisited tour. Shame.
 10.
I'm sure Bono would disagree with you.
11. I hate playing Close to the Edge, but it fills the dancefloor!
 12.
Well, I played the Isle of Wight Festival today. I used the supplied rig, which was an Ampeg 8x10 and, I believe, a 300 watt all valve SVT head. OMG... HEFT! I didn't love the sound. But, it punched you so hard in the back. You could just feel it. We had a 15k PA as well, which was amazing. But it felt like the fridge would have filled the whole venue!
So is punch, punch, or is punch, heft?
 13.
What does one do to a bass to get wear on the inside of the upper horn both front and back? (in the normal course of wear and tear as opposed to 'relicing')
+1
 14. I like what John Wetton's doing - anyone hazard a guess at which one he's using?
 15. Look at that bass player with a hefty sound, he's being really hubrissy.
 16. My first thoughts were 'well we need another live version of a Yes song' but I've eaten my words punctuation and all. Brilliant. Jon's voice is great and without Steve Howe's noodling and Rick 'why play one note when ten will do' Wakeman on it it's a much more faithful version. And yes, with Jon back in the fold Yes wouldn't be a tribute act.
 17.
When I saw the headline about Ed Sheeran being sued, I was expecting it be by Marvin Gaye's estate over Thinking Out Loud, but no... http://www.bbc.co.uk...rack-photograph
Yep, I thought Let's Get It On was nicked too.
 18. Glad you posted this - was gonna post myself about how tight they were (I think they've been touring for ages and are well worked up). I listened to it through the hi-fi/sub and it sounded ok. I get the gripes about tv sound generally though.
 19.
Which tv do you need for heft?!
PMSL! Heft brand.
 20. Having something relic'd is a straight red.
 21. Great show. And well done Midge for dissing the mediocrity of today's pop music.
 22. Nice share - very interesting. Now what I'd really like to see is our friend who's name shall not be mentioned on feebay post a build vid Does John still own his basses or have they turned up for sale over the while?
 23. How about a heft acronym competition? I'll start. Habitually Expressed Facile Technophilia.
