Minitaur/McMillen 12 Step/McMillen midi interface. I use a laptop for patch selection though you can do it via the Minitaur's controls. And of course some chunky boxes to make it loud.

I have some friends who's drummer gigs with a more lucrative project on 'good' nights so he's only available to them weekdays or Sundays. I know it's anathema to me and probably a lot of people but drummers are gonna start being replaced by nice boxes with Roland written on them, and (old joke) you only have to punch the instructions in once!

This thread should read The Beatles Blessing. They were and are head and shoulders above anything at the time or since. That 'Beatles and the Stones' phrase always makes me laugh, the Stones weren't in the same league.

Used a PK-5 myself for years but switched to a McMillen 12-step last year - those PK-5's are bulky!
