3.
Number 120 Averil Road, Leicester, LE5 2DB
Ta.
4. With a quarter of the U2 pot at his disposal he surely can't need the relatively small amount of cash these manufacturers can offer.
5. This DVD only needs to be AWESOME! If you've followed his career, know all the stories and read the Bill Mic-whatshisnames book I can't see that there's much to reveal. I will however be happy to be surprised.
6. +1 to both of these. Where's Jon Lord's?
7.
They called Wes Montgomery's bass playing brother William Howard Montgomery ( aka " Monk" ) .... Mark ! Surely a typo . I have seen the fnords .
And King Krimson?
8. Excellent, the guys cross-genre-tastic!
9. If you don't like Wichita Lineman you're dead from the neck up - and probably the neck down as well.
10.
Witchita Lineman?????? ewww!
You've got to be kidding - have you never missed your woman?
11.
Love the bass on the Wham! stuff (Estus/Lang/McKenzie) - even the synth on 'Everything She Wants' is awesome !
Yep, that's a cracking bass line. Something great that did come out of the eighties was the synth bass player.
12. One of those thingies for running two sets of stereo speakers from one output - set A, set B or both.
13. Being a life-long liner notes geek I've noticed that George Michael gets bass credits on a lot of his stuff. Now this pic might just be a singer picking up a bass for a noodle during a quiet 5 mins in the studio. Anyone know the truth?
14. Don't know much about these but it looks like they got the pickup in the right place!
15. Dave Grohl knows very well that there ain't a venue in the civilized world that would let him play beyond closing time. It's just patronising banter from an old rocker. Dave mate, you've become establishment. And I agree about the prices going up as the experience gets worse. As someone's already said, stick to small venues where the prices are reasonable and the experience is better.
16.
Can't stand them... their only saving grace is that you can lean them against things and they don't fall over. Very tricky to play sitting down.
Hideous monstrosities. Why, why!
17.
Of course he played down the fact he gave his name to Manchester Band "The Hollies" too...
18. Muse are very formulaic these days - doing something not in a falsetto vocal might be a worthwhile change of direction.
19. Buddy played at many cricket grounds. It's a little known fact that the band name came out of this and was nothing to do with insects on a recording.
20. I reckon the ultimate royaltymeister was the very wise Obi-wan Kenobi, who negotiated a percentage of the Star Wars takings.
21. Markbass LMIII White Edition Ashdown ABM 2x15
22. I heard that House of the Rising Sun was out of copyright but mistakenly got credited to Alan Price and their was some dispute about royalties.
