Hi guys - I'm selling my GK Neo 410 in very good used condition. There are some very small superficial marks on the cab and cover but it still looks and feels very fresh. This is a real beast and can handle 800W at 4OHM. It uses neodymium magnets so is very light for what it is. I'm an average sized bloke and can easily lift it in and out of my car and into gigs/ rehearsals. However, there are casters included which pop in and out easily so you can wheel it along if you prefer. The cab fits easily in my (very small) estate car and my missus' small hatchback. Please check the GK website for full specs http://www.gallien-krueger.com/neo-410-specs/ The cheapest I can find this cab online is Thomann for £800. The Roqsolid cover is worth around £50. I am based in Gloucester but I travel all over the country so may be able to deliver/ meet halfway if you're worried about distance. You're welcome to come over and hear/see it for yourself of course. Drop me a message with any questions/ offers Price drop to £400 Thanks http://www.gallien-krueger.com/neo-410-specs/

Hi all - I have a very tidy Stingray 5 complete with original hard case. It has a few very small superficial marks but still looks and feels very fresh. It's exactly as you would expect. No issues whatsoever. Currently strung with D'addario Nickel Wound 45-130. It feels light for what it is, although I don't know the exact weight. I'm based in Gloucester but I travel all over so get in touch if you'd like to pop over/ meet somewhere and check it out. I'm interested in trying 5 string jazz-style basses with narrower-than-normal string spacing i.e. Maruszczyk Elwood, Mayones Jabba, Sandberg California. Drop me a message with any offers. Thanks

Hi all - Was wondering if anyone can tell me if the level of the Direct Out on the GK MB series heads is affected by the master volume? This doesn't seem to be specified on any amp I've ever bought. I currently use a Fender Rumble 200 1x15 Combo for live stuff. I use a separate DI box with it as the master volume on the amp affects the signal that goes to front of house. This isn't ideal for mid-set adjustments in volume e.g. If I decide I need more volume from the amp for monitoring, I can't turn up the master without sending the front of house a load more level too. The direct outl on my old Genz Benz Contour was unaffected by on-the-fly master volume adjustments, which was very handy. I had a Markbass combo briefly and I see they've gone down the route of having separate controls for master volume and DI. Either way, this doesn't seem to be something that amp manufacturers specify, unless there is a name for it that I'm not aware of? This seems strange to me as it's an important piece of info as far as I'm concerned. With more and more bassists relying on small Class D amps, using the direct out in a multitude of different venues with different engineers. It must do engineer's heads in to have bassists adjusting their volume mid-set and messing up the mix they've been trying to perfect for the first few tunes! The only way I've managed to deduce wether or not a DI level is affected by the master volume is by doing an experiment with the engineer i.e - Get your engineer to watch for changes in input level on his/her desk/ipad whilst you increase/decrease the master volume dial. I am more than willing to throw my hands up and admit that I'm an idiot but having owned a few amps in my couple of years of playing, I find that the situation varies often. With my sights set on an MB800 I'd like to find out how it will behave. Thanks in advance!

Bump - Forgot this ad was still live! £350 anyone? A lovely example of a Squier VM Jazz V with an East Pre, Hipshot tuners and Fender US pickups and wiring. Original passive control panel included. Hardcase is now gone - New Stagg gig bag provided. May accept a trade for a nice amp, with cash adjustment either way if needed.

Thanks Thunderbird - you're quite right. The luthier I used was unhappy with the screw terminal on the bridge earth so decided to solder it unfortunately. Even if I were to remove it myself, I still wouldn't have the first idea how to refit the original panel. I certainly wouldn't feel comfortable selling a bass that I had done the soldering on! I don't even have a soldering iron. Time to get one and learn perhaps.
Agreed, although seller might help help the situation if he replied to to PMs regarding sales as well as reading them
My apologies, Beedster. Have you ever received an email/ message on the go and had a quick look at it but not had time to reply properly? Sorry I didn't get back to you. Glad you managed to find yourself one. Thanks everyone for all your advice. I might hang on to this after all. My lack of soldering skills forbid me from removing the pre and refitting the original panel myself. I just thought this might be worth the money to the right person as it is. It was to me.
sadly this appears to be following the rule that what you do to upgrade your bass will not be reflected in the asking price.. I'd be tempted to pull the john east preamp out and sell it separately..
Good point, well made. However, the bass and it's upgrades are around £600 worth (conservatively). I didn't source and fit the pickups, wiring, control panel and tuners so I can only approximate their value.

Price for bass new - £320ish
Pre amp - £149
Hipshot tuners set - £50-100?
Fender pickups, wiring and control panel - £50-100?
Pick guard - £10-15?
Hardcase - £25-50?
I'm asking considerably less than the sum of it's parts and I'm sure I'd accept a sensible offer :-) I appreciate your input and opinion though. Your statement is true of many things I guess. Modified cars for example. People can spend tens of thousands of pounds on modifications which can ultimately de-value a car.
