  1. Likewise, I've a couple of wide leather straps I no longer use now I've 'found my brand' so to speak.
  2. The old oaks are always best, it doesn't teak a lot to start the puns.
  3. The best percussion performance of the modern age, Bunny Wailer, there, understated I think you might say, fabulous. I find it very difficult to watch this without selling everything to buy a Jazz like the Family Man's.
  4. Another boon, I always leave mine in venues/rehearsal rooms or people nick them so now I get bright coloured leads and my theft/leave rate has gone right down.
  5. Now, I've had some very interesting things priced around £17.00 but I would say that these jacks are by far the best I've had at any price point. I think they are superb.
  6. I would always use an angled jack into the bass, be the socket on the front or side, straight jacks can make a mess of your bass if you forget and put the bass down on to the jack, far less protrusion with the angled jack makes for less damage if you do plonk the bass down on the jack. Most of my decent cables are of this configuration ... ...I also use the silent angled jack because I tend to forget to turn my amp down before I unplug and it saves the inevitable boom!
  7. I remember discussing his retirement from the cable game at the last SE Bass Bash but unfortunately I cannot recall the content of the conversation.
  8. ... or OOBM, or BOOM even, but I'd try @obbm, although I think I'm right in saying he's stopped making cables now?
  9. ^^^ This, or put 'designacable' into Amazon and you can essentially design your own cables, jack types, colour, length. I swear by them.
  10. Heh, don't be, type 2, I ate myself into it!
  11. Absolutely, totally and exactly this ^^^
  12. Get on with it then before you break BC and possibly the Internet 😉
  13. ^^^ Again, this with clanging bells on, buy it now.
  14. Blimey, like @AndyTravis said, it needs a wipe but a wipe would probably sort it all out. I'd bite their hands off at £350 or £375, mind you, that's because I've owned one.
  15. You'd be surprised. Black or natural wood for me, I can't stand any other colours.
